As a follow up on the issues we had with the sidebar of the Supreme theme…
In order to see if it would be a solution to delete everything and start over from scratch….
Since we have a multiple licence. I decided to install Geodirectory V2 and only the released add-ons on a different site. (I also installed a completely FRESH wordpress version 4.9.9) And followed step by step the installation as in your manual.
I installed the Supreme theme (version about to be realeased)
Most of it seems ok, but you cannot get to view the details page of a place. Not from the front end, not from the back end. It just keeps showing the overview page of all Places. For example.
http://pet-friendlyhotelsmexico.com/places/morimoto/This is not just a test site, this is the website for my next geo directory project. No other plugins installed, had no switch between languages, you wont get it any “fresher” 🙂
Thanks for your help and time.

If that doesn’t help can we go ahead and try changing the settings?
January 10, 2019 at 1:02 am #462430Hi Alex
Thanks for your answer and time. I did check the permalinks and put them initially as they should be like in your example/instructions.
After your response I started to change some settings from the geo directory permalinks.
I kept the general permalink settings “post-name” (http://pet-friendlyhotelsmexico.com/voorbeeld-bericht/ (which basically are always the neatest option)
But started to change/play with the geo directory permalinks switching between “default” “full location” “full location with category” and finally “custom base”.
Result. Some improvement. At least the details page shows now, but with the following errors.
– “icon and text” for profile misses whiles the other ones do show (photos, map, revieuws)
– banner shows default banner image and not the featured image (while running the set up wizzard I did install some 30 test places)
– the details place side bar is not showing at all.
Hence.. I think we are back to the root of the problem when we started to report on the missing details side bar for our first website where we installed it, http://www.globaldutchies.nlPlease feel free to use the login details to check where it goes wrong.
As always, thanks for your very appreciated help and time.

2. Setting at GD – Settings – Design – Details – This will show you the theme featured image output, this can be seen on the details page – CHECKED – FIXED – https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/themes/supreme/#featured-area
3. Widgets not in GD Sidebar – FIXED (this was not visible because DS was the wrong version)Please check and let us know if you see any issues
January 10, 2019 at 1:21 pm #462473Hi Alex
Great, thanks everything works now.
Here is what happened. When i installed everything from fresh, I downloaded all the very latest versions from the add ons and the themes. Installing the Supreme child theme, it automatically installs the Directory starter Mother theme. But its not the V2 directory starter that is installed, but the V1 version. My apologies for not checking this, but I was convinced I had installed all with V2. Thanks very much for your help.January 10, 2019 at 6:03 pm #462555We will take a look at that, thanks for letting us know.
Glad everything is working. -
