Short Code crashed

    When using following short codes, Elementor editor crashed. (GDV2)

    [gd_notifications]
    [gd_add_listing]

    Later I found that GD Notifications has widget to use, so it is resolved. But there is no gd_add_listing widget. But there is GD Claim Listing widget, What should I use?

    It seems that V2 doesn’t work with short code, only widgets. If so, please advise which one is add_listing widget? Also, how to modify the elements in add listing form, currently listing title is placed right at bottom just above REVIEW button, which is normally at the beginning of the form.

    Hi Kai Liu,

    Thanks for your post. Just tested the “Elementor” page builder and I’m able to see the issue when the “Add listing” is being added as shortcode. The map doesn’t load. However, it seems to work when I inserted the shortcode into the “Shortcode Widget”. Could you give it a try?

    Thanks Kor,

    I did tried to use Short Code widget, it crashed. Strange enough, short code works initially if putting it into Paragraph Text box. I did not UPDATE and returned, so I did not know if front end shows or not. Will give it a try in blank new page see if front end shows.

    Apart from gd_add_listing, other short code seem all available as GD widgets.

    Will test it shortly and see what happen

    Hi Kai,

    The JS can break the page, i have repalced the add listing output with a placeholder for builder previews.
    I have also made this available as a widget for the buidlers.

    I did notice there is a JS output error on the frontend if the add listing shortcode is used in the text input if using multilocations, it might be best to copy that to the elemento shortcoe widget.

    Hi Stiofan,

    Yes, I did use Shortcode place holder of Elementor but [gd_add_listing] will brake, when clicking UPDATE, it generates SERVER ERROR.

    Front end preview shows Add-listing form works tho

    Currently I have to take it, as long as the site works. I need to get this site done and released this month so anything works is solution.

    Just found that Elemetor will crash easily with Short_code insert, event it is contained in widget. We have project using WP Job, their short code also causing Elementor crash or need to run in safe mode.

    Same thing happened to WPBakery front end editor as well

    Hi Stiofan,

    Thanks for that. Credential is available in this post. You can login and duplicate one of the GD page by using Duplicate This when hover the page name in Pages. Then try to edit the diplicated page with Elementor. Whichever page contains short code, it will crash and suggest to use safe mode to edit. Safe mode will ignore some css effects while editing.

    I just notice that my full width front page banner is no longer full width but with left and right margin which I cannot get rid of. Some pages got worst, browser just halt and need to Backward to admin panel, cannot even edit with editor plugin, whether Elementor or WP Bakery. I never use Beaver before as Elementor is my most familiar editor, then WP bakery.

    You do not need to do anything, just edit with Elementor and try to insert short code, either text box or short code widget, will see the issue.

    Love to find out why.

    Hi Kai,

    Elementor works fine on my test site.
    On your site i can’t even add a new blank page with elementor without getting the safemode message, it seems unrelated to GD, maybe a conflict with the multiple page builders?
