conversion issue

    Hi,

    I am trying to set up v2 on a dev staging site. I followed the instruction of deactivating all non-GD plugins. I moved all GD plugins to a backup folder via ftp in the contents/plugins folder. I uploaded all the new unpacked folders into the plugin folder. Everything was broken with a 500 error. I fixed it by moving a buddypress folder back into the plugin folder. Then I reloaded the main GD file in and everything was working. I started activating the plugins but when I got to buddypress everything broke again. I tried backing out of everything but still is broken. I am going to start again from the beginning but wanted to know what I should do if I get to this point again or how can I avoid this?

    You can try getting a fresh copy of BP. Perhaps some files are missing from the copy you are using.
