    Hey guys,

I’m trying to have update titles etc. on pages through the Title and Meta Settings section. I have Disabled overwrite by Yoast SEO, but all the pages have their original names “GD Archives” etc. For what it’s worth, I deactivated Yoast to see if there was a conflict and it didn’t impact it. Am I misunderstanding how this works?

Shouldn’t I be able to update the “GD ARCHIVE” title for a page like this https://staging-distressedmullet.kinsta.com/instructors/ just by manipulating this page?

I know this seems obvious, and I’ve read the doc, but I seem to be missing something. Thanks for the help guys!

    Hello,

we have seen the “GD Archive” issue before. The issue is not related to the Titles and Meta settings per se, but the issue certainly interferes with the title being set correctly.

Please provide WP Admin and FTP so we can take a look at what is happening on your site.

Please make sure all your GD plugins and the theme are up to date.

I have managed to fix this on my test site and i uploaded it to your test site but it does not seem to be having an effect, cache maybe? Try clearing the cache, if not i’ll dig deeper tomorrow.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

I cleared all the caches, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I poked around to see where something may have changed and I can’t seem to see anything, so I can’t help debug what’s going on. Give me some more specifics and I’ll see if I can help see why your change didn’t take.

Please check now, the version of X theme you are using is pretty old and did not have the function i was using as a active check 🙂

Yes, I have the latest version…and that was on my plan to upgrade.

PS: Yes, it’s working. Can you tell me what you did to resolve? Also, i’ll work to apply the upgrade and see if that works too. I suspect that the change you made is in your code somewhere…and fixing it to work with the latest version is the best plan. Apologies for not thinking of that in advance.

Please let me know how you think I should proceed from here. Thanks!
