Hey guys, I just setup a website using the Supreme Directory theme and the GeoDirectory plugin.
I like what I see so far and I am willing to pay for having extra functionality but first I just want to make sure I can get that. So, basically what I need is this: people will need to chose between several subscription types on my website (3 months, 6 months, etc.) to post their hotels. When those 3 months end up, the hotel is hidden from view until they renew their subscription.
Visitors which are searching for hotels, they won’t pay up, just search through the hotels and get in touch directly with them through their phone.
Can I integrate a paid membership which will hide the user’s listing automatically until they renew their subscription?
January 23, 2019 at 9:35 am #464893Hi there,
Thanks for your interest. To begin, I will list down the addons that you’d probably need to achieve what you needed there.
1. Location Manager addon https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/location-manager/ will allow you to add listing from multiple cities, regions or countries.
2. Payments Manager addon https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/pricing-manager/ will allow you to charge your clients based on the number of days and you can even charge by recurring payment https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/prices-and-payments-add-on-overview/#prices . Then, once the listing expires, it will be hidden from the public.
You can check out the rest of the addons here https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/category/addons/ .
Thanks!
January 23, 2019 at 11:38 am #464915Thanks for the info. I do notice that when testing it, I can only add addresses near my physical address, I think https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/location-manager/ disables that and let users all over the world to add places.
Payment Manager addon seems OK, I do have one questions, just to double check: I am from Romania, Stripe won’t work here and PayPal neither, unless you are registered as a VAT payer, which my business is currently not. Can I simply add two payment options: pay with credit card and direct bank deposit?
January 23, 2019 at 4:41 pm #464995If you use V2, you will have the choice of any gateways that are available for the cart you choose to use with GD.
GDV2 support both WP Invoicing https://wpinvoicing.com/downloads/category/gateways/
and WooCommerceBoth offer bank transfer included, but you will need to check the plugins to find a CC processor that meets your needs.
January 24, 2019 at 12:57 pm #465192This is very confusing. Are you aware of a tutorial/guide step by step to follow, which shows me exactly how can I link the plugin called GeoDirectory to charge my visitors based on what membership plan they chose (3 months, 6 months, etc) to add their listings?
Too much information in your website which is not right to the point, not a single easy guide which I know should exist, because there aren’t a million steps to take, just a few in the right order. If I missed that on your website, can you please guide me to it?
I would appreciate it. Thanks very much.
January 28, 2019 at 12:39 pm #465764Alright, so if I do the math, just to put at my visitors’ disposal so they can pay for listing and add locations from wherever they are, I need to buy:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/pricing-manager/ – $39
https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/location-manager/ – $39
https://wpinvoicing.com/downloads/paypal-pro-payment-gateway/ – $39Just to double check, is that correct? With all from those above, can I start my business or there are hidden fees? Do I need a membership to your website?

And our apologies about the replies going to SPAM, they slipped by me.
I will make some notes about the user pathway here, generally speaking
User visits the site and creates an account
Clicks on add listing link to see add listing form
Filla form, choosing the price package they want
Submits listing, proceeds to preview
Can go back and make changes
Proceeds to checkout
Checks out
Views author page and can edit listing (if listing set to published)February 5, 2019 at 8:52 am #467122All good, thanks, it’s working nice. Another questions though: in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBdHwGIYcM0 I can see Coupons: http://prntscr.com/mgt9f6
I am using GeoDirectory V2 and the menu and settings are a little different, how can I have the Coupons functionality? Is there a tutorial for V2?
February 5, 2019 at 8:19 pm #467291You can use discounts from WP Invoicing:

Glad it is working for you now! 🙂
February 6, 2019 at 1:05 pm #467406I figured it out, thanks.
What I cannot figure out is how my users can view their submitted and approved (published) listings: http://prntscr.com/mheljb
I’ve read the documentation, could not find out. Do you have any idea what I need to do for those to work?
