    Hi,

I have created a clone site and am trying to upgrade from V1 to V2.

Everything looks OK I have done all the FTP etc.. but..I go back to the WP-Admin and then reactivate the GD Plugins so I can start the conversion, but when I activate “Location Manager” OR “Social Importer” the site just crashes and gives a HTTP 500 Error.

If I remove these plugins using FTP, I can refresh and the site backend works again, but as soon as I put them back in and reactivate “either” of them it just crashes.

I have re-downloaded the plug-in files and tried fresh files and it was the same.

The hosting of the clone is on the same shared server as the original V1 site and all the settings are the same as far as I can tell. The clone was successful and worked exactly as the original prior to starting the changes.

Any thoughts on what it might be ?

    Best regards,

    Mike

Try updating GDV2 to the latest version. We have a fix that may help.

If it is still a problem write back with WP Admin and FTP details in a private reply so we can take a look.

I was unable to connect using the credentials above.
What is the FTP host URL?
    SFTP? FTP?

I get this error, meaning the host is not resolving.
    Status: Resolving address of reddtrekker.com
Status: Connection attempt failed with “EAI_NONAME – Neither nodename nor servname provided, or not known”.
Error: Could not connect to server

I will flag this for the team to see if they get the same issue.

I think you were on it at the same time as I was doing something on it. I do not use this domain normally so it does not have a certificate set correctly.

I think the issue was that it had crashed because the location_manager had been activated in the WP Admin Panel which is the issue you were probably looking into.

I have deleted and removed that plugin by FTP now and put in back by FTP again.

So the site is back to normal now.

    Hi Kiran,

Great, thank you, yes it looks like it works & I have disabled and re-enabled location manager and no crashing.

What did you have to do / what had I done wrong / what had I missed ?

    Best regards,

    Mike

    I just did following things:

    – enabled Social Importer
    – enabled Location Manager
    – go for v1 to v2 conversion
