    Hi All,

    I completed GeoDirectory v1 to v2 Upgrade and it worked great for me. I like the new theme and functionality but my category Icon and Category names are not clear below GD home page search field. I have attached the screenshots. I want to make my category icons transparent without any background color the way it appears in GD V1. I want to make my icon category clear and more readable for end users. I want simple icon and category name without any square box and overshowding. Is it possible to achieve this customization with or without any script. Could you please help me make categories more transparent and withour any square box or what do you suggest.

    Hi beneetpandey,

    Thanks for your post. Try inserting the custom CSS code below into Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and see if it’s what you’re looking for.

    li.gd-cptcat-li.gd-cptcat-li-main,span.gd-cptcat-cat-left {
        background: transparent!important;
    }

    Hi Kor,

    Thanks for this code. It is working for category but not for subcategory. Attached screenshot. How can I make subcategory also transparent like category.
    I will appreciate your help.

    Thanks

    You can find some examples to get you started here:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/themes/supreme/#popular

    Forum support doesn’t include customization. To really make the site your own you will need to write your own CSS:

    Thanks Alex and Nicodeu,

    So there is no ingle custom css which can work for both category and subcategory in GD V2. If I understand correctly you are saying to make category and subcategory transparent I need to customize the CSS.

    li.gd-cptcat-li.gd-cptcat-li-main,span.gd-cptcat-cat-left {
    background: transparent!important;
    }

    Above css changed my category appearance but I want to know why it did not work for subcategoy. Any help will be appreciated. Could you please point me where can I make changes in CSS to make subcategory also transparent like category.

    That will require additional custom CSS. Check this page to see how to create it:
