Popular Categories section on home: how to remove?

Hi,

We’d like not to output the Popular Categories section that we find on home on Supreme (we are using Supreme and GD V1).

We already hide it with CSS but we’d really like to clean our html and make it not to appear.

How can we do that?

If you point us to a file we can remove that part of the code.

Hi Manfred Van Ursel,

Thanks for your post. You’ll need to edit the theme files and remove them manually. But this is not recommended though, your changes will be lost if you update the theme.

Remove Popular Categories Completely

This is not recommended – To remove GD Categories completely edit supreme-directory/inc/geodirectory-compatibility.php and at line 164 remove the gd_categories shortcode. Changes to theme files will be overwritten at the update.

Thank you, I found it on line 1033 on Supreme’s geodirectory-compatibility.php. I commented it out.
