Country flags by listing on Search results page and Archives

    Hi,

    We learned we can add country flags on the Location Description field.

    However we have two questions:

    – how do we make it show on the Search Results and Archives?
    – where we could pull the flag icons set? Do the theme/plugin have some sets we can use to avoid loading a new one?

    Hello,

    you can use the location description widget to show the location description field content. To use the location image requires customization, and you can find examples in the supreme theme.

    We do not include flag sets, so, you will have to look around for that.

    I went to the Archive Item Page to edit it. Then I added a location shortcode below the H2 title, and a location description shortcode, like so:

    [gd_output_location location=”mapbubble”]
    [gd_location_description]

    The address will show, but it is not hyperlinked to a Location archive (we would like this).
    The location description doesn’t show, however.

    Is this because we have to edit the “mapbubble” somewhere?
    Where exactly?

    I added this and the country is showing fine, but it is still not hyperlinked:

    [gd_post_address show=”icon-label-value” address_template=”%%country%%”]

    How to hyperlink it?

    Regarding the country/location description (where we would like to add a Flag), it is still not appearing there, although we have written some test text on the location data (GD > Settings > Locations > Countries > Russia > (filled in all fields).

    Hello,

    gd_location_description is usually used on the CPT + Location archive or the location page to display the location.

    There is not a way to link the location page related to the listing, and will take that up as a suggestion.

    You might consider a badge. You can place %%Country%% there, to make a single badge display multiple countries, or make a badge for each country.

    Can it have a small picture on it?

    Where could I go to see an example of a badge shortcode?
