Can GeoDirectory be used with these limitations

    I know Geodirectory is rich in features. But I wonder if it probably is “too feature rich” for me and if its possible to reign it in a bit. So I have to ask the following questions before my purchase (I hate refunds):

    1. Can we make the default location US. No cities, no states.
    2. Is it possible to only allow search by the US states.
    3. I plan to use the plugin for only one category. So can we skip the “Search Categories”?
    4. I also see on the demo “Places” dropdown. This will be irrelevant for me. Can we make that disappear too.

    Basically I would only want the visitor to be allowed to search States.

    1. No, the default location has to be a city.

    2. Yes, when using the Location Manager addon.

    3. Yes, there is no need to add a category search.

    4. That will not be there if you only have one custom post type (CPT).

    About this. If default location has to be city (and not state), then how can it allow to only search by States (and not city).

    Because every city is in a state and in a country.
    So every listing will be in one city, one state and one country.
    You can search in a country, in a state, or in a city.
    Or you can search near any address or landmark.

    You will need the Location Manager addon to add listings outside the default location.
