I am testing the advance search functionality on my website, a directory of entertainment venues in the US. As a test, I want to find bars with patios in Detroit, Michigan.
I have post categories as an advance search option. “Bars” is a main category. “Patio” is a tag. “Bar” is also a tag.
I have 53 bars in Detroit. 17 have patios.
If I search “patio” near “detroit, mi” with no advance option selected, I get 24 listings, 17 of which are the bars.
If I search “bars” near “detroit, mi” with no advance option selected, I get 53 results.
If I search “” near “detroit, mi” with “bars” selected in advance search options, I get 53 results.
If I search “patio” near “detroit, mi” with “bars” selected in advance search options, I get 0 results, no records found.
If I search “bars patio” near “detroit, mi” with no advance option selected, I get 0 results, no records found.
Either or both of these last two searches should be returning 17 results.
