Other Listings Nearby – Show only upcoming events.

Hi, please can you help me with a couple of things

1. I’m using the code below in the GD Details page to show Other Listings Nearby but it currently shows events in the past. Is there away to show listings that are nearby AND upcoming?

2. The category tiles on my homepage feature a count of the number of events in a small pill-shaped badge. After a Geodirectory update the number of events counted jumped massively. Looks like it is now counting all recurrences. How can I revert this number to just the number of events (excluding recurrences)?
