Is there a way to prevent a user account from being created when a new entry is entered? The new entry should then automatically be assigned to a specific user (e.g. admin)?

I am aware that a user can then no longer edit his entry. My problem is that if I allow user registration, the user in the “Subscriber” status cannot edit his entry. As a “Contributor” he has access to areas that he should not see (e.g. other posts and plugins).

    hi Andreas Nunn,

Thanks for your post. Sorry, this can’t be done out of the box. All listings will be assigned to the author who created it.

    Thanks for the feedback.
It would be enough for me if I could deactivate the email asking the user to change his password. Then a user is created, but nobody notices. Via cronjob I can then assign the entry to the admin user once a day in the database and delete the user created.

    Hi Andreas,

Thanks for your reply. Try using 3rd party plugins like this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/manage-notification-emails/ and see if it helps.
