SHow All Categories list in HTML with a List and sublists

    Hello.

    I’m having a litle problem with the widget GD Popular Post Category.

    I want to show in the homepage a list with the Categories and Subcategories in a way that they are related… Not all in a line.

    I want to show all the categories and subcategories similar to the list that is showed in the filter in the home map….

    What I really need to ask it’s: It´s possible to change the function geodir_helper_cat_list_output in the general_functions.php page code to show the listing categories using HTML schema:

    • Categorie A
    • Categorie B
      • Subcategorie B1
      • Subcategorie B2
    • Categorie C

    Hi,

    there is no way to modify that function without losing changes after every update.

    It’d be easier to build a specific widget for something like that and you could copy those functions in your theme’s function PHP to customize it.

    However I do agree a widget like that is needed. I’ve added a task for the developers to start working on it.

    Hi,

    hopefully by the beginning of the next week we will have a beta of the new widget to test.

    Milestone for the stable release is 1.5.4 (1.5.3 is due out tomorrow.)

    Hello… I’d like to know if there is some news about the update for GD LISTING widget show structure of CPT NAME > CATEGORY>SUBCATEGORY > SUBSUB……

    yes the new widget is ready and will be available in the next release.

    I’m not 100% sure, but it should be available in the development version if you want to give it a try: https://github.com/GeoDirectory/geodirectory
