    Hi

Is it possible to replace the dropdown text of a place search field with placeholder text?
For example, here I’d like to have ‘I want to…’ where the current field says “Providers’ – this is the first CPF item and I want people to choose ‘Improve my mental health’, ‘Reassess my work…’ etc as the choice.
    Thanks
    Andy

    hi Andy,

Thanks for your post. I’ve checked your Website and I’m able to see the placeholders that you require in the dropdown options. Did you sort it out yourself?

    Hi Kor

    Thanks for the reply.
No, I haven’t done anything since posting.
When I mean ‘placeholder text’ I mean what would appear in the first drop down to indicate the user should make a choice.
For example, in the field to the right I’ve been able to use ‘Find me a…’

At the moment it’s just showing the first default post type which is ordered first by default.

    Thanks
    Andy

I think you will probably want to place something like a table about the search bar and add your custom text there.

There isn’t a placeholder for the CPT select because it is always active.

You can change ‘Categories’ by adjusting the field label and the properties in the advance search tab.
