CPT Dropdown list

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    On my Home page, I have a dropdown list for CPTs set at Businesses as default above the Categories.
    Once I select a category I am directed to it but on that page the drop-down list disappears.
    To select another CPT, I now need to go back to my Home page. This makes for awkward navigation.
    How can I get the dropdown list to appear all the time to allow the selection of another CPT?
