Changing the URL

    I would like to get the state of the business in my places url.

    My URL for a place/business looks like this.

    http://jaltembadirectory.com/places/restaurants-1/teriyaki-time/#post_map

    As I see it /places/ does nothing for my SEO but /nayarit/ would be excellent since websites that compete with ours focus on the state of Nayarit, Mexico.

    I would also like to get the town in there but not Mexico.

    Can I do that with out a programming change?

    If I need a programming change is there a good hook to use?

    If not in which .php should I look?

    Thanks for your QUICK response GUUST. That gets me:

    http://jaltembadirectory.com/places/mexico-1/nayarit-1/guayabitos-1/pizza-1/don-porfirio/

    It leaves places and puts in Mexico as well but certainly “Simple”. I see I have the option to only include city only but not city and state.

    I am not sure if a long URL damages my SEO. Does anyone know if getting /places/Mexico/ out of there would gain me anything?

    Does the order of the words matter to Google? I certainly do not want to reduce the chance of the business name being found by getting all that other stuff in front of it.
