So you only want to remove stars, reviews and favorites from http://www.rata.co.za/events/ but not from http://www.rata.co.za/places/ ?

if you want to hide them on this page http://www.rata.co.za/events/, you should add this to GeoDirectory >> Design >> Scripts >> Custom CSS

.post-type-archive-gd_event .geodir-addtofav, .post-type-archive-gd_event .geodir-pcomments, .post-type-archive-gd_event .geodir-rating {
    display: none !important;
}

For the home page sidebar events:

.gd_event .geodir-addinfo {
    display: none;
}
