Suggestions on how to allow Subscriber to add dozens of “item” locations to map.
I am setting up a Water Agency CPT and allowing them to add Water district locations as a franchise. No problem there.. now here is where I am getting stuck.
I want to allow them to be able to post the gps coordinates of each fire hydrant within their district. This means that an icon representing a fire hydrant would need to appear approximately every 500′ to 1000′.
In another scenario, we have a water district in a rural area (forest / mountain region) that has “in ground water meters” and when the current “meter reader” employee retires they are going to have a very big problem as the meters are in odd locations. By allow the employee to take a hand held gps he could record each meter’s gps coordinates and then input them to GD directories cpt Water Agency / water meter.
One thought comes to mind. To change the word “event” to “fire hydrant” and allow them to post each fire hydrant location as an Event type post and inform them the parameter for setting the location of the fire hydrant must have a start date and the end date could be when an “inspection or maintenance” time would occur. Set this as a recurring event so that they now have a reminder of the hydrant needing an inspection.

Summary.. how do I allow the subscriber the permissions to post icon locations for fire hydrants and other water resource attributes?
