    Hello,

    I would like to make the Listing Description (i.e. post content), tag keywords, and image, not required or visible on the add listings page.

    I have the Custom Post Types add-on plugin installed and activated, but I do not see options to remove/deactivate these?

    Another question – what is the purpose of the Business Owner/Associate field, and can it be removed also?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi,

    tags and image uploader can’t be hidden via option, but they are not mandatory. If you wish you can hide them with css.

    Business Owner/Associate field is for the claim listing add-on, that way users can add claimed listings directly. You can disable the add-on if you don’t need it.

    Thanks

    I am also looking for a way to hide the image upload for users adding their own listing. I am only allowing images for “featured” listings that I have control of.

    Not quite sure how this can be managed via CSS. Can you kindly assist?

    Hi,

    you can do that with this custom css:

    h5.geodir-form_title, #post_imagesdropbox {
        display: none;
    }

    Thanks

    Hi all,

    An elegant solution to hide the image upload is to simply give 0 as allowed images for upload. The whole image upload field simply disappears on the front-end.

    You need Prices & Packages Add-on though where you can create different packages with different options to control how many images can be uploaded for the free and the featured package, for example.

    Cheers

    I would need some extra help for hiding the Tags field, because for some packages I need it, but for others, I don’t.

    I tried with allowed letters limit to be 0. On the front-end comes a nice message that for this package no tags are allowed, but it will be far better and more user friendly just to hide the field on the front-end when the character limit is 0.

    Paolo, would you transfer this suggestion to the devs?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    I’ve flagged this for them. Not being a priority, it will be taken care of when their snag list is empty, just FYI.

    Thanks
