    can you send me your email address so I can make you an account?

    thanks.

    Also, if I made it only 2km, putting in Tokyo doesn’t seem to work… does the search only metaphorically put a pin at the point “Tokyo” and do a circle of 2km around it? most borders aren’t circles…

    the current model maybe works well when chosing between cities (when setting radius to 40km) or small areas with a small radius…

    the url shows city/region etc, can’t it search those fields and show entries that matched?

    expedia has a drop down, but if you don’t select it, it still intelligently chooses tokyo…

    Hmmm… changed it to 2km and seemed to work for Chuo, but if I put in “tokyo” (without choosing from the auto complete), nothing shows! even though all places are in the region of tokyo

    (selecting from auto complete works as expected)

    Hmmm…. I see what you are saying but, not sure that’s what a user would expect… they intentionally put an area in…

    Is there at least a way to limit this? ie up to 3km from Chuo?

    Tokyo is not really a city, but a bunch of districts. Chuo and Minato are within Tokyo, but if you intentionally put in Chuo, you would not expect Minato to come up.

    If it was London, and you intentionally put in Camden, you would not expect results from Southwark. That’s why you put in Camden. (or in New York, if you intentionally put in Manhattan, you would not expect results from the Bronx.)

    See what I’m saying?

    So, if it orders in proximity, where does it stop? Can I at least limit that?

    Thanks so much. I look forward to hearing about how to fix it.

    Since it happened elsewhere, I will change my password. Let me know if you need access again.

    Again, thanks for your support and such an awesome plugin!

    Before the update, if I set the post type to “hotel” and searched, It would return all hotels… now it says “no results”.

    even if you put in a “near” location, nothing comes up.

    Is this intended?

    i assume there will be times where a user doesn’t know the name of a hotel but wants to search for hotels in an area (ie Tokyo). They would change the post to “hotels”, leave the “search for” blank, put in “tokyo” in “near” and search… getting no results!

    				if(jQuery('.search_by_post').val()){gd_s_post_type =jQuery('.search_by_post').val();}else{gd_s_post_type ="gd_place";}
    				jQuery('.search_by_post').change(function() {
    						// make advanced unselectable
    						$(".showFilters").prop('disabled', true);
    						$(".showFilters").addClass("WaitHover");

    						gd_s_post_type =jQuery(this).val();
    						gdReplaceASC(gd_s_post_type);
    						//alert(gd_s_post_type);
    						//console.log(gdsa);

    						jQuery.each(gdsa, function(index, item) {
    							if(this.autocompleter){
    								this.autocompleter.setExtraParams({post_type:gd_s_post_type});
    								this.autocompleter.flushCache();
    							}
    						});
    						//return advanced button
    						setTimeout(function() {
    							$(".showFilters").prop('disabled', false);
    							$(".showFilters").removeClass("WaitHover");
    						}, 1850);

    Paolo,

    So sorry, clearing cache seemed to fix it.

    (addition)

    if it comes up as “places” going to “hotels” the “customize my search” comes up. click it and you see hotel customization.

    go back to “places”. if there was no customization the button would go away. it doesn’t (because there is customization) and clicking it shows customization for “places”
