Hi Paolo
I’ve tried auto before but I would like to force the size since I want to avoid smaller images at that place. So auto would kill that option. I’m currently giving the spot/image a predefined size via css.
Right now I can’t give you a link since it is local, I might move it to my online dev server.I’ll keep you posted but it could take some time. I’m not a developer and just doing things by trial & error and my modifications are mostly quick’n dirty 😉

I’m currently not uploading images. I have used the “upload field” but I have to find out how to use the if function in case there is no image uploaded first. If an image is uploaded, it should be shown, if not, the “area” where it usually will be displayed, shouldn’t be shown as “empty”. Currently, if I don’t have an image, it shows a large white space.
Yeah thats what I thought, I’m already on it and will see how it works out.
Perfect Paolo, this works as wished, the function details_content_only was the missing part 😉
Thank you!
Nevermind, I found it 😉

Sometimes… it would be great if someone would read the documentation… 😉
Thank you Guust!Ok I got to check this tomorrow. I could use instead of the main category a custom post as well, right?
So “Restaurants” would be a custom post and “Italian” would be the category.
Would that make sense?Alright, now that makes sense. So I should better make sure images are uploaded in the given size or in a ration where the scaling doesn’t destroy the “view” of the image.
Thank you so much for your help Guust! The top section would be always related to the current listing. I got it working but I get a “empty” area shown on listing or search page as well. I was looking for something to modify the hook so I could add the function only to detail page.
I was using this code on my dev site (therefor no link) but it didn’t worked very well.
It was forcing this image to have this one size or the other which makes the image look strange when it is stretched or squeezed.I’m not sure if this is how it should work, it was just my best guess.
Would it be possible to just use the “large” image and use a part of it for the “small” image without resizing or cropping it?Hi Guust
Thank you for your message!
I got this already (pictured in my screenshot above – selection “checkbox” is just for test), however, it would be great if it would be another “field” in the same row like the search so users won’t have to click on “Customize” and the massive new area comes up. Instead of the button, the dropdown for something like categories and/or subcategories would be great.Hi Paolo
Would it be easy to set it up? I see you are already able to select the category in the map but many people won’t look at something in detail, they just want to hit up the search.
For me, I was expecting the category dropdown when I bought it. Sure, my issue if I didn’T checked the demo completely. Most people might leave the search empty and just choose the category and hit the search button so they are shown everything in the category “Nightlife” – no matter where it is. I find it hard to search for something with “text”.I wonder why this isn’t a common request. Do you have any better solutions or ideas how to guide the visitor? Personally I find it very mandatory.
Thank you!
