Ok. So I totally understand now that The Search and the Listings are separate & I would have to Customize it on my own to make it the way I desire it.
However I would still like to provide a suggestion for linking of these two in GD V2 or later versions.Logically There is no reason not to have the Search Results appear on the Listings page in Chronological order by default.
If it’s a high Technical difficult barrier to climb then I totally understand.
But if it’s technically relatively easily doable, then in my opinion, it should be there Standard in the Theme/Add-Ins. Logically there’s no reason for it not to appear By Default in Chronological order.I’m just throwing it out there without knowing the technical specs behind it…Perhaps have something like this in the Listings Tab too.

Thanks for your patience! 🙂

This update would be really appreciated to keep everything consistent from a Website user perspective. So that all Listings Events are displayed in a consistent ‘Upcoming’ order. Also facing the similar issue with ‘Search Term’.
I created a separate ticket for tracking it:

February 13, 2018 at 8:37 am in reply to: Search field in Search Bar for Custom Field with Multiple Options #417346Agreed. Category will work best with my requirements.
MY question was what are my options:
Option1: Can I have 2 categories under Events CPT? The existing category(taxonomy) + dance style category?
Option 2: Or do I have to reorganize my existing category(taxonomy) to change it to dance style?February 13, 2018 at 12:09 am in reply to: Search field in Search Bar for Custom Field with Multiple Options #417302I already have a custom field Dance Style as a Select field. Which kind of works and is OK in the Search bar too. But it still Single type and search.
What I’m looking for is to convert this custom field Dance Style to a category to take advantage of Multi-Type tagging & Multi-Search. Is this possible?
I already have an existing category(taxonomy). Can I have this custom field Dance Style as a category too?February 12, 2018 at 8:52 am in reply to: Events – Custom Field is not displaying the data entered by the user #417187Hi Kor,
Unfortunately this is not what I’m looking for: It just moved the button link from the Header to the Details page Own TabI require the following:
1. The BookTickets button remains as is in the Header. (No Change)
2. All I need is an additional regular link in the Details page own TabFebruary 12, 2018 at 8:33 am in reply to: Search field in Search Bar for Custom Field with Multiple Options #417186This reply has been marked as private. -
