Ok… Thx for the answers
Can I switch easy to try the multilocation switcher?
Do I have to do something extra? If I’m really not happy with it, I want to change back to one location…..
Cheers, Jan
Hi @stiofan,
Thx for the update, but I still have an issue with this.
I don’t want people/business owners to enlist this special CPT (hostels) from the font-end.
I only want them to have a possibility to upgrade a listing.
I asked this question alrady in this topic: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/how-to-disable-add-listing-from-frontend/Hope to hear from you soon.
Cheers, Jan
Hi Simone,
Yes, all three packages are enabled.
JanHi @Simone,
And if I want to have more than one category not to be displayed?
Do I need to put the code twice into my functions.php, or can I add another number (and how?)Cheers, Jan
Hi Simone,
Thx for the code. Can you just help me what to do with the css…?
Cheers, janHi@Simonie,
Thx for the answer.
I think I didn’t make myself clear or I don’t inderstand your solution 😉With your solution it is still possible (I think) to enlist museums or attractions from the frond-end by different users / or that a museum or an attraction claims their own venue…. I don’t wan’t that for museums and attractions in the CPT “Things To Do”.
I only want the possibility to add/claim and choose a price package for other categories in this CPT (Sights & Nightlife)
Cheers, Jan
Thx Paolo!
I’m using a plugin to search and book hotels on booking.com:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/bookingcom-affiliate-plugin/It works with shortcodes, so I can make a hotel searchbox for each hotel. So I need that searchbox on one of the field options….
But….. I think I found another solution. Just have to test it. There is another booking.com plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/bookingcom-official-searchbox/This plugin works with widgets. I have to set a widget area in a sidebar with this plugin (thats possible with WPGeodirectory) and specify a destination per post using meta Boxes.
I think this would be even more easier for me….I’ll let you know if it works…
But anyway many thx in advance for listening to me…. 😉
Keep you posted if I still need a solution…Cheers, Jan
Ho @paolo,
Using a shortcode in template with a function doesn’t work for me. For every listing it’s a different shortcode…
Is there any other option?
A shortcode does work on the “Property Information” tab….Cheers, Jan
Hi @stiofan,
When I disable the “Allow post type to add from frontend” is a frontend user still able to or claim a listing or buy a special listing package to upgrade the listing?
Cheers, Jan
Hi @stiofan,
Yes, still having the same kind of error message:
Unknown column ‘wp_geodir_gd_place_detail.geodir_area’ in ‘where clause’Cheers, Jan
–UPDATE—
And what about categories in a custom post types:
Can I disable the add listing feature from the front-end for one or more categories in a CPT?For example:
Custum Post Type: Things To Do
Categories: Museums, Attractions, SightsIn only want users to add a listing in category “Sights”, not in the other categories. Is that possible?
Cheers, Jan
I don’t think that works because parks is a child-/subcategory of sights…..
I can’t choose parks as default category..THX @Simone!
Cheers, Jan
