Ok, I got it. What I was doing wrong is that I was trying to add the shortcodes in the “GD Home page” but didn’t see the “Directory” page under WP pages. You have most of GD pages starting with “GD…” but “Directory” and “Add listing” are not. So at first I missed them. Just a suggestion, that you may want to change all page names to be prefixed with “GD..” in your next release so they are grouped together.

Well, it appears I may not have explained myself well. If you go here http://cubacustomtours.com/places/?sort_by
you see there are 1) a Sort by dropdown and 2) a View dropdown.However, if you do the search http://cubacustomtours.com/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=+&snear=&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=
only the View dropdown shows.
But the instructions in the Place settings say “… orting option dropdown box on Place listing and search results page.”
I do not see the Sort by dropdown in the search results.
