GDV2 is not yet ready for production sites. We recommend you restore to a backup with V1.
If you want to test GD you can setup a clone of the production site. Take a look here for more information.

For a permanent fix
There is no way for us to fix this, it has to be done by the theme author (you should as them to implement my fix).
For a temporary fix
Did u update the theme? If so you can follow my advice here https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/ninja-no-good/page/2/#post-449453

I have flagged your question for the developers.
GeoDirectory V2 makes it possible to achieve some of that layout within the Archive Item template by adjustment of shortcodes, as you said:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/page-design/
You would adjust the items in the archive item template, and add custom HTML so you can apply additional CSS to achieve the layout and style you want.
If you need to you can call on a GD Expert to help you with hands on web design: https://geodirectoryexperts.com/experts/
Hello,
Yes, all of our themes can handle all the features of the GeoDirectory plugins, though some themes have special features (like Whoop).
Whenever a theme is ‘switched’ then menus, widgets, and theme specific custom CSS will need to be adapted for the new theme.
GD has settings to set the meta data and titles for GD related pages; therefore GeoDirectory cannot be used to de-index BuddyPress pages.
Some 3rd party SEO plugins like Yoast might have BuddyPress settings, or allow exclusion by url/slug, but if not then you can look into robots.txt
A quick search on Google showed this: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-hide-a-wordpress-page-from-google/
Hello,
This is an enhancement that has had some planning but has not yet been implemented. I will flag your topic for the developers.

I have flagged your topic for the developers.
You can try adding this to:
GD>Design>Scripts>Footer Script
<script> jQuery(window).load(function() { if(jQuery('#geodir_slider').length){ jQuery('#geodir_slider').flexslider("pause"); } }); </script>You can hide the slider, is that what you want to do?
Hello,
1) The ‘Events’ tab in the menu is not aligned and has ‘Event post type.’ written below it.
That looks like a special theme feature. Try checking theme options for your menu.
2) When I click on a dummy event or place, it does not open up to show the listing details and just remains on the same page with summary listings.
Yes, GeoDirectory cannot be network activated. Please deactivate in the network and reactivate in the site. Once you do that, check to see if issues persist and we can take another look.
4) The backend indicates an error – GeoDirectory permalink error the following rule appears twice ^events/([^/]*)/?$
This is fixed by reviewing the permalinks. Fixed.
5) There is an prompt advising of a new version of GeoDirectory Custom Post Types. When I attempt to update the plugin it says ‘Update Failed’
Please include FTP and we can look into that.
6) I recall in V1 there was a member login area but I don’t see it on V2.
V2 does not come with a login page. If you need cusotmized login we recommend https://userspw.io
9) When I hover over the menu item, ‘Add Listing’, the sub-menu appears with ‘Add Place’ and ‘Add Event’. If I then click on ‘Add Listing’ it takes me to the ‘Add Place’ page. Is this supposed to happen?
Yes
If the issue persists after reactivation please write back and we will take another look.
Hello,
You can use the CPT addon to change everything except the “Post Type”.
The post type cannot be changed, once created. Nether can the Places CPT be deleted, it is special that way as the default post type.
You can make a new CPT, call it what you want, then move all places and place categories to the trash and delete them and no one will see “Places” on the front end.
