You can use a Popular Post View widget on the GD Home page for each CPT, then All categories, and set the post count to higher than the number of posts in your site.

The easiest thing to do is to allow your users to fill in a URL to a site where the users can setup their own ticket sales. This is done by adding a custom URL field to the event settings.
