I figured out my issue there was no conflict. I didnt have the event post type setup correctly in the navigation tab.

Anyone have an idea how to resolve this? Currently when I click to add an event I am automatically redirected to the homepage. I cannot seem to find a solution.

Hi Kor, I am using the event manager addon. The issue is before I installed it I had The Events Calendar plugin already installed (https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/).

There must have been conflicting slugs or something because when I tried creating an event it thinks and then sends me to my homepage.

I deactivated and removed The Events Calendar plugin thinking that it may resolve the problem but it still sends me to the homepage.

Even if I manually add /add-listing/?listing_type=gd_event to my url it will forward to the homepage. I added dummy event listings and can view them if I go directly to the event url so I know the plugin is working.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this?
