Alex,
Ok fair enough, I really cannot rely on my former webdesigner, he put me into this mess in the first place.
So, before I pull the trigger and purchase a 4 or 6 month membership single, I need to know what i can expect?I have this one issue which the renewal of listings
There is also a major concern that going from GDV1 to GDV2 will mess up the coding etc that my designer did and he said with the update my current site will be broken.
Who is going to support me thru that transition? I am not sure to be honest if I really believe him (the former designer). I am not a designer and have some subscribers currently on my site, so I can’t afford to get stuck in a major re-design issue either.
Please advise.

These are the ones that are having the 60- day cycle renewal issue we have been discussing, should I leave them alone or keep the de-selected?
As far as the renewal button, I did see this in your threads
Yes they can use the upgrade button at anytime to renew, i do believe at present though they would lose the extra days.
I think a dedicated renew link might be best, i will add this as a feature request.
So back to the original question, where is this feature? Sorry to double up, just making sure I am clear on the communications.

I don’t see any widgets that say Author Actions in my current version of GD , Also in the past my designer said not to upgrade to V2 or it will crash my site because it is customized.
so where is this widget located? How do I get it?
August 7, 2019 at 2:26 pm in reply to: Open Street Map loads for whole database but not for separate listing #501815Yes, Exactly.. when a subscriber – contributor updates and renews their post, it should “Reset” to valid for 60-days not get deleted or trashed.
There are 2 sets of posts (databases) that have a 60-day life cycle, this is a Commercial Real Estate Site, we can’t have stale data sitting in these databases that is not updated consistently. **Also keep in mind this website is “FREE” until it gets populated we de-activated Stripe and the invoicing features for now.
So are we in sync now as to what the problem is?

1. In that notification they should be informed that they need to renew the listing or it will be trashed. Only a renewal will change the date.
It says that however it doesn’t work when its renewed. I can give you a contributor acct and you can see what happens if you want?
August 6, 2019 at 10:08 pm in reply to: Open Street Map loads for whole database but not for separate listing #501689Alex,
I don’t think we are in sync here, I don’t care whether the listing owner renews or not ? Actually they are Told to “update the listing”, if they don’t it gets trashed- Not a problem.Problem! They do update the listing and it still gets trashed. Are we in sync now?
1. They get a notification- “your listing is going to expire in 9 days” please update it or it will be deleted.
2. They update their listing , they set the date for the current day and resubmit it to be published.
3. PROBLEM! The listing STILL gets trashed..!What is the solution to this?
August 6, 2019 at 9:08 pm in reply to: Open Street Map loads for whole database but not for separate listing #501672For clarification: I already have the Pricing Manager for GD installed – however as stated it does not reset posts or listings , currently listings if they are not renewed by the subscriber they go into Trash. -Deleted.. we do not want to have stale data on this site.
But, we don’t want “Updated and Published Data” to be deleted – that does not make any sense?
August 6, 2019 at 8:00 pm in reply to: Open Street Map loads for whole database but not for separate listing #501666Not really, what I require is the how to’s not the what to- does that make sense?
What is Price Packages? is that plugin? Again, the end result has to be that the listing -post once updated by the subscriber renews itself and I do not have to manually do it which is not going to be effective nor efficient in the long term. Can you please send me some step by steps? Sorry, due to my designer’s lack of lack of communication and ability , I have been left a bit high and dry on some things. This is the only thing I know of at this point that is holding this website back.
August 6, 2019 at 2:27 pm in reply to: Open Street Map loads for whole database but not for separate listing #501597Kiran,
Thanks.. Finally that did the trick, actually I did not delete or remove the Google Script, I had to re-enter the correct API key and now the maps function is working (loading on the detail page).
To be clear- I do not want to have to “manually” update expired posts and here is why. Eventually at some point there may be 400 posts in this site, it was supposed to be set up per my web-designer (who said this could be done) with the following process:
1. An expiration notification goes out- that is set up, however what was happening even after the post was updated- it sent out another expiration notice- Not good. so I deselected all other notifications except 1 notification.
2. When a subscriber gets a notification of expiration even when they update the posting date (to the current date) it does not update in the chart of posts and does not renew and reset for a 60-day expiration.I have seen 1 post thread where there was some type of update you folks did to fix this? Is that correct?
I can’t have myself updating 400 posts one day, and imaging having to track which ones expire within 60 days? That would be a nightmare, the site needs to be “Automated” so it updates automatically when the specific post is updated and re-published by the subscriber.
How can we accomplish this? What has to be done?
August 5, 2019 at 4:54 pm in reply to: Open Street Map loads for whole database but not for separate listing #501441Alex,
I still have that error for the map not loading on the details page, have the developers gone into the site?
August 5, 2019 at 4:46 pm in reply to: Open Street Map loads for whole database but not for separate listing #501440Thanks Alex,
So are you saying that it has to be manually done on each post? How does the expiration date get extended then? Backend? Programming?August 5, 2019 at 2:19 pm in reply to: Open Street Map loads for whole database but not for separate listing #501393Kiran,
Thanks for the reply, however that isn’t the answer. As stated, listings under Needs and Haves are supposed to expire in 60-days unless they are updated.
If they are updated, the renewal date (the date of the update) should log into the listing and go 60-days out from there- it doesn’t , I did tick a box (cause I had to set the site to “free”) UNDER GD, Price and Payments, General tab- I am not sure that will do the trick. As far as your answer goes, that setting that it goes to trash after 60-days would be accurate “IF” it is not updated by the subscriber.
August 4, 2019 at 4:19 pm in reply to: Open Street Map loads for whole database but not for separate listing #501218On other note that is probably important- we deselected Stripe to make this database site FREE until it populates, I am wondering if that is the cause of the “listing post” getting trashed even it if is updated?
Is there a a setting or some type of coding that needs to be done, is this the cause?
August 4, 2019 at 4:14 pm in reply to: Open Street Map loads for whole database but not for separate listing #501215Alex,
Thanks, when can the Developers take a look at the map load issue? Also, mentioned this before perhaps it was overlooked. Members receive an expiry notification 9 days out, Haves listings and Needs listings have a 60-day life cycle.
This is what happens, I updated one of my posts, to the current date – it did not log into the chart (date didn’t change) and post got deleted even though it was updated?
Sorry for all this, my former designer truly- I do not think he knew what he was doing, and I am finding these bugs now. Just FYI- it is James Gehring, I would suggest you do not recommend him on your designers list. He will end up blaming GD, or Enfold and doesn’t hold himself accountable at all. – not a good experience.
Anyway, what is the solution to the posting getting deleted even after it is updated? I need to maintain the 60- day expiration so data is not stale on the site.
