Thanks for looking into it Paolo.

It would be really useful to have the ability to send users to specific logged in pages when trying to get them to upgrade.

    OK no problem.

On a slightly different tack then is there a email shortcode for the upgrade URL like the other ones you use in emails. That way I can use it in the Notifications > Messages page that the user is shown when they have submitted a listing – the user is 100% logged in at this point.

    Currently the message says:
<p>Thank you, your information has been successfully received.</p>
    View your submitted listing»
<p>Thank you for visiting us at MedRate Singapore.

So I could change it to be something like:
    <p>Thank you blah blah</p>
<p>Please confirm which subscription package you want [Upgrade_URL_link]</p>

    I know I’m clutching at straws but…

    Ok thanks.

In this case, the listing is already claimed, hence why it would be the upgrade link.

Could you look at the error page when clicking on the link above for a logged out user as the styling in Starter Directory is broken. It’s edge case but…

Great. Thanks for being patient. There are so many seemingly unrelated but
interconnected bits it helps to understand exactly how something works.

I’ve been thinking from a user experience point of view. Do you mean that technically, when the user presses the Submit button the system sends the post submit email without knowing if it is published or waiting approval? The submit button is dumb for want of a better word?

Sorry I might be being very thick.

OK thanks. That is what I am seeing.

As a suggestion would it not be better for the auto published users to receive the Listing Published email, not the Post Submitted email?

So Auto published: Listing Published email
Not auto published: Post submitted THEN Listing Published

That way you can say in the Post Submit email something like “Thanks for your submission, we’ll email you when it has been approved”

And in the Listings published email “Yay, your listing has been published”

    Hi Guust,

    1. Briliant thank you.

    2 & 3
It might be a typeo but in both examples you use the same version of the email “Post submit success to client email”

    Did you mean:

    2. If set to automatically publish, the “Listing Published success to client email” is not used, only the “Post submit success to client email”.

    3. If set to draft as first status, the “Post submit success to client email” is sent on submission, and the “Listing Published success to client email” is sent when the listing is approved.

    Hi,

I appreciate that with forced upgrade that is what it does.

What I’m asking is that if that Forced Upgrade is ‘off’ when the claim they are not given any pricing options at all. They can only claim a free listing. It would make sense to allow them to choose any of the pricing options free, or an upgrade.

    Hi,

OK so that did clear the problem but it has re-occurred two more times under different circumstances.

    1. Updating all of the latest plugins (including Geo Booster) seemed to make the logged out site CSS and maps api break again. Wiping the cache fixed it
    2. Clearing my server cache seemed to have the same effect

It doesn’t seem right that I need to wipe the plugin cache all the time? And I’m not sure I understand why only the logged out user is affected?

Not sure if that helps you!

    Hi,

Actually it appears to only work for logged in users, when you log out on any browser the issue comes back.

    🙁

    Hello again.

So in Chrome it is working but it doesn’t seem to have been fixed in IE or on mobile. I’ve flushed the server cache and my laptop cache.

    Thanks
