The Link is also working fine when you drill down into a location and category, i.e. this link works from that page above
https://whichweddingvenue.co.uk/venue/shropshire/whitchurch/country-house-wedding-venues/
and so does
https://whichweddingvenue.co.uk/venue/shropshire/whitchurch/
But the breadcrumb has it as https://whichweddingvenue.co.uk/venue/whitchurch/ -(without the county) so is the breadcrumb incorrect – I am using the default theme
This reply has been marked as private.Hi
So this is what happens, I register the
email:
name:
password:
confirm password:like this
Google asks me if i want to save this user, (this is even worse in firefox as it automatically saves), it asks me like this
Note it save the name and not the email.I click save and then logout, and login, and it displays this
This is not going to work as David Walker 778 is what i entered for name, and not email / username. It brings back an error login. Because the David Walker 778 is in front of the normal textfield description ’email’ then people are not correcting the browser mistake to enter their email instead of name? So it leads to people not logging in.
Is their a way to remove the name field, or change it to username on the frontpage
So instead of
email:
name:
password:
confirm password:it is
email:
USERNAME:
password:
confirm password:Does this make more sense now?
Thanks
David Walker
Hi Stiofan
Username and email work, but name does not and that is what google and firefox seem to save to login
So with the above example it is defaulting to my name ‘david walker’ and trying to login with this?
I seem to have a long list of failed logins and i can see that they are trying to use their name. Wondered why this was happening for a few weeks but now i can see why
Hi
Its easier to replicate if you use chrome, as it asks you if you want to save it and it says for the above
do you want google chrome to save your password for this site:
david walker *******
So it is using david walker and not [email protected] as the default username to login
Ok great, thanks. Always available to help, the new search features are looking good…
One final question, is there a way to sort the categories into Alphabetical order, for example if you drop down the search options on this page.
http://whichweddingvenue.co.uk/venue/warwickshire/
It would be really helpful if the Wedding Venue Types were in Alphabetical order, and not in ID order?
Thanks
David
Great thanks, works now.
Think might be slight css error aswell, as i am using your latest one (do not think it is anything i have added css wise)
But if you select area from the drop down, for example Wolverhampton, it used to go blue to indicate selected but now it is made white, same as background so cannot see it. If i delete the following in firebug it shows
background: #fff none repeat scroll 0 0;
from wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-assets/css/gd_core_frontend.css?ver=1.6.9
}
body .geodir-listing-search.gd-search-bar-style .geodir-loc-bar .clearfix.geodir-loc-bar-in .geodir-search select, body .geodir-listing-search.gd-search-bar-style .geodir-loc-bar .clearfix.geodir-loc-bar-in .geodir-search input[type=”text”], body .geodir-listing-search.gd-search-bar-style .geodir-loc-bar .clearfix.geodir-loc-bar-in .geodir-search input.ac_input[type=”text”] {
background: #fff none repeat scroll 0 0;
border: 1px solid #ccc;
border-radius: 3px;
display: block;
float: left;
font-size: 14px;
height: 38px;
margin: 0 !important;
max-width: 100%;
padding: 5px;
width: 100% !important;
}It works fine on chrome browser, but still same on firefox
