The search issues I had go away when Countries, Regions and cities are turned on in the settings (even though I’d rather just have Cities show up in the drop down menu). But the problem of the location reset still happens every time I navigate away from the homepage, the exception being the search results.

Yeah I mentioned that to the server admin and the explanation I got was that the message “The sessions folder is not writable” is probably because that page doesn’t exist. They’ve assured me that the folder is writable.

Thanks! I’ll make that request! Doing a quick test I found that when logged into the my site and going to that link I see (Found a session, refreshing should increment by 1 if working right: 1
The Sessions folder is not writable).

the counter goes up when I refresh, but i do see the message you posted pop up when I’m not logged in.

I think there might be a slight communications problem,

Issue #1

I have the option of selecting between city A and city B. I select city A. I would like for all functions of the website to stay on city A until I choose to select another city.

As it stands, selecting a city seems to only work on the home page and with the best of widget.

My location always resets when i move away from the homepage.

Issue #2 & 3

If after selecting a city I do a search, the “near” field isn’t automatically populated and my search results include all cities.

To get specific city results I have to manually populate the “near” field. this is after I have already selected the city in the locator button.

This is probably due to the fact that even after I select a city, any action that moves the page away from the home page resets my location.

let me know if this is how it’s meant to work with the multilocations add-on.

thanks for the feedback Paolo. Unfortunately, this doesn’t work either but I think it has everything to do with the multi-locations plugin.

I’ll follow up with Stiofan on the other thread.
