I think I know what happened. The CSV has an abbreviation (eg. NY) in the post_region. The prior post-region in GD was “New York”. I believe GD created duplicate locations with the abbreviation. Don’t know where the “all” in the State location is being generated from . I did not create that location. Should I erase them? States are also listed in Location Setting tab.

These are listings that were uploaded in bulk with the csv file. In that situation how do I control how the listings are saved?
Thanks for your feedback. I am not sure how or why this is happening. I have not changed anything.
I am a little confused as to what is happening. I did try to change the “regions” term to “state” in the translation. Could that have caused this problem. Since I’ve changed it back since I have begun getting this error message.
Just to clarify, “all, New York” should be changed to “New York”?

I am having trouble with my map markers. Though the address is correct, the marker has chosen a different location. I’ve attached the error message below.
What happens is I hit <set address on map> and then the error message pops up.What does the message mean and how do I resolve it? There is a link to my site above.

For some reason the video (iframe) is still not uploading. Everything else is fine.
Hi John,
Thank you that worked.

Hi,
I have just downloaded OpenOffice and it is not easy to use. I have selected every configuration of separators (tabs, commas, spaces, etc) to get it to format the GD Events CSV correctly and it doesn’t work and the help section is not useful. Unfortunately I don’t have time to learn a whole new program, can you please tell me the settings?Otherwise the excel application worked fine except for the missing text in the post title and post content. I think that’s the low hanging fruit. The Open Office is very complicated – at least for me.
Is there a fix for the missing content in my excel file, please.
This reply has been marked as private.Hi,
I test the event csv upload with two entries and it worked well. A couple of odd things happened, however.
1. In one event listing the Post Title was cutoff to one word. However the permalink listed the entire title, which is 8 words.
2. In the next listing, the entire Post Title was entered correctly (9 words), but the Post Content was cutoff. However, in the previous listing the post content, which is much longer was listed in it’s entirety.
3. By the way, didn’t have any trouble with the following date format (1-Aug-14)
Hi. Thanks for the Events CSV. Haven’t tried uploading it yet because I have a couple of questions and formatting issues:
1. Column G/event_date: What is the format? Can it change? My csv keeps changing to a western date format (8/1/2014 or 1-Aug-14), even when the cell format is “general”. Also, the date format listed as the example (28-07-2014) is not a format available in my Excel. I am using Excel for Mac 2011 v.14.4.3.
2. How do we notate a “reoccurance”. (For example, the event happens every week at 7:00pm)?
3. What is the format for the starttime and endtime. The example show “10:15” Which is probably in the morning. How should we format the data for afternoon? Is it 14:00 or 2:00pm? Is pm and am an acceptable value?
4. Can I add columns to the Event CSV for my custom fields? Like ticket price?
Thank you.
