Hi Kor, Alex already recommended it. Please see what I mentioned in my previous reply to Alex:

“We are not great fans of captcha, the solutions we were using WP-Spamshield, was providing antispam protection without using captcha. Anything else you have in mind?”

    Thank you.

When “Allow add from frontend” is selected, then links for Adding those CPTs will be added to the loginbox.

Alex, please be precise, I often get the impression that you rush to answer, which really commendable, but it seemed to affect the quality of replies more than once.

Let’s take it step by step, I will try to be more precise with my question too.
    a. You are probably referring to this option: https://imgur.com/a/ups8ndx It is enabled by default, so no need to enabling it as suggested.
    b. I never asked about ‘CPTs added to loginbox’ – not even sure what it means.

    *****************************************************

Let’s recap the issues we are experiencing.
There are 2 main issues (the third one is mentioned in the end)

    ISSUE #1

    1. User registers, and after the registration the system logs him in automatically and user remains on the business directory page (https://allontario.ca/places/)
    2. Naturally, his next move would be to create his own listing, so he goes lower on the page, clicks on listing here: https://imgur.com/a/hSdWtZz and sees this: https://imgur.com/a/AjVvArq – an empty filed in a drop down menu.
We need to fix this. It is absolutely not clear how to add the listing for registered users.

    ISSUE #2

After registration user receives an email with the link to login to his account.
Login link leads him to here: https://imgur.com/a/4Pp2xqX
The same issue happens as described in #1 – is is quite impossible to figure out how the users can add a listing.

    ISSUE #3

If user is not logged in and he follows the link he received in the email upon his registration to login – https://allontario.ca/gd-login/
It doesn’t take him to his profile, but simply takes him to the site homepage (https://allontario.ca/)
I think logically the user should be logged in to his profile where he can manage his listing?

    Thank you.

Alex, the question was rather about general, more comprehensive WordPress antispam solution, not only the one that protects GD, but all WordPress user registrations.

We are not great fans of captcha, the solutions we were using WP-Spamshield, was providing antispam protection without using captcha.
Anything else you have in mind?
    Thank you

Hi Guust, how do I identify the low score?
When I look at the accuracy score column I see score values ranging from 1 to 0.33.
Is 1 ok and everything below it is not?

Sorry, it may be obvious for you guys but |I’m fairly new to this, please clarify.
    Thank you.

    Elijah.

OK, guys, so we are dealing with 2 issues if I understand you correctly.
    1. Maps not loading on single business listing pages
    2. maps loading with significant delays on category pages.

    Please see my comment below:

    1. Mapps do not load on our end on single business listing pages.
1a. We tested it on 3 different computers from 3 different ip addresses in Ontario.
1b. We bypassed Sucuri firewall, it doesn’t help.
1c. It is not the hosting issue. We run another project based on GD on the same hosting provider with the same plan and it works flawlessly.
you can view that single business pages load very quick https://foodamo.com/places/canada/ontario/toronto/cafes/cafe-boulud/
yu can also see that the categories load with no issues whatsoever on the map https://foodamo.com/places/restaurants/

    2. Strangely enough – category maps load with acceptable speed on my end.

Guys, I’m a bit confused. please read my initial post in this thread, it says:

Please note that it talks about single business listing. You seem to be troubleshooting loading the map in relation to categories. What is not working is a single business listing. Please clarify.

    1.
Let’s take this one for example:
    https://allontario.ca/places/canada/ontario/woodbridge/manufacturing/cpl-aluminum-railings-glass/

When you click on Map tab (https://imgur.com/a/Y3bWk) you would see that the map is not loading:

Just in case – bypassing sucuri firewall doesn’t help either.

Hi Guust, thanks for fixing the slides alignment.
As to the map… it never loads on our end, I waited for almost 2 minutes with no result. I tested on 3 PCs from three different IP addresses. Regenerating the key doesn’t help. (And to answer your question – no, I haven’t changed it to https, it was set up this way from the very beginning)

Can you please let me know what do you mean when you say ” It may be that you did not authorize the HTTPS URL in the Google Map API”. I couldn’t find the setting in Google API Console.

    Thank you.

    Thanks Guust.

I have added home location map to listings page and it seems to work. https://allontario.ca/places/
    A couple of questions:

    a. Is there a way to zero in on Ontario Region in Canada instead of showing all North America by default?
    b. One of the markers looks blurred: https://imgur.com/a/GKlBV

    Thank you.

OK, this one went through, so I will post the actual question here below.

Hi, we have run into some issues with business directory listings, please see below. We use top-5 selling theme from theme forest: https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609

    1.
Let’s take this one for example:
    https://allontario.ca/places/canada/ontario/woodbridge/manufacturing/cpl-aluminum-railings-glass/

    a. As you can see images are not displayed properly – they are aligned to the let and do not take all available space in the gallery slider
I tried various resolutions including 1200×800, still the same.

    b. When you click on Map tab (https://imgur.com/a/Y3bWk) you would see that the map is not loading:

Sorry, was away for the weekend. Nope, this is not what I’m talking about, please see my comments below, I will recreate them.

    1. The map loads here, https://allontario.ca/places/, thank you but:

    a. The category sorter disappeared. It can be seen here: https://allontario.ca/gd-home/ (see the screenshot here: https://imgur.com/a/N0H9u). But it doesn’t appear here: https://allontario.ca/places/
How do we get it back?

    b. When this sorter is back – how do we manage which categories are ticked or unticked by default?

    2. The issue with category sorter in Firefox.
As you can see here in Chrome browser everything looks ok: https://allontario.ca/gd-home/ (see the screenhsot here: https://imgur.com/a/N0H9u)
But if you go to the same page and view it in Firefox, you will see that category sorter names are not displayed properly, the screenshot is here:https://imgur.com/a/IK7LB
As you can see some names overflowing to the second line. Please let me know if it is fixable.

    Thank you.
