cool. In the case, I will not worry about it any longer.
Seems the slowness is only for this search, rest is ok. I just like to know if your GD booster addon will improve the search speed?

FelixI found the issue, customize search has a few seconds delay to open the search field, which cuase the issue. I think this is a bug.
anyway, I had fixed it on my own. but hope this bug can be fixed.

It will be great to let us know the files being changed so we can back it up for any unexpected case.And I noticed the search function takes about 5 seconds to load every time I open the page. It is really slow even I enabled the cache. I saw other demo site and it looks good. is this due to change or if there is a way to optimize it? This issue is quite noticeable and I am afraid my client will not take it.

After user submission, where admin can see the user input info, e.g. email, name?hi paolo, thank your very much for your commitment. I have tested and having a few questions.
1. may I know where is the fix? is that on the code or somewhere? I am very concerning future update will overwrite the fix.
2. Anything I need to pay speical attention when config CPT or somewhere to make sure this feature is always working?
3. I tested the search widget and found it was not working. (pls see searchwidget.jpg)
4. Is there option to list search fields horizontally (as attached)?thank you!

I just found in GD->theme/compatibility, there is one section about search css,
.geodir_full_page .geodir-search input[type=”button”],.geodir_full_page .geodir-search input[type=”submit”]{display:inline-block;float:none}
will this be potential cause of the issue? this code is auto generated when I select DIVI and click Import

I only put custom css in child theme css, and I did not find the css code you mentioned there.
The other place is in GD->theme/compatibility , in required css section, this code is auto generated and I did not see the code you mentioned as well.could you pls advise where is that css code? so I can remove them.
