September 18, 2017 at 6:16 am in reply to: in wpml strings appear as translated, but are not #396211
of course i did.
in the end it was something with the new WPML plug release. had to uncheck “assume all php strings are in english”
thanks! This reply has been marked as private.and one other thing – how do i get near me to work? right now i’m getting “Permission denied in finding your location.”
thanks.how do the know they chose “in” or “radius” of a place they type?
it would only seem normal that if there’s a radius, it would search within the radius. no?
if a client want to search within 100km of tel aviv, and he types “tel aviv”, and a dropdown appears – how would he know that selecting it would cause it to appear not in radius?
there should be a more distinct differentiation between when you search within a radius, or IN a city. currently there isn’t such.
the whole point of not making the search geo-driven was that if you use the geosearch engine, you can get a lot of empty results. this is why when you type a city, only if it exists – it shows.but if i turn them off, and clients would search a non existing city – i get no results.
and again, on the other hand, if i keep it on, it gives me only results in the city and not in radius.
please try to understand the difficulty:a client searches “תל אביב” (tel aviv in hebrew). a dropdown appears even after he tyoed 3 letters. he obviously chooses the word from the dropdown. it doesn’t give him results from a radius, like he thinks it might.
thanks.
but it’s confusing.
because on one hand if i type a city which is not present (hence not seen in the dropdown) i will get zero results.
but on the other hand, if i choose from a dropdown it will give me only resutls within the city.
how can a client even begin to understand that?
i can’t explain: “search for a city. if it appears in the dropdown and you want to search in the city itself – select the dropdown. if you want to search within a radius of the city – don’t select the dropdown. if you search for a city and it doesn’t appear in the dropdown, it does OR doesn’t exist, who knows, just try a million times until something happens”.any ideas?
ok – it works only i don’t choose the city from the dropdown list.
for example oif you type “תל אביב” (tel aviv in hebrew), the city appears in the dropdown, and when i choose it, only results in tel aviv appears.i don’t want ssl
i only get ONE result, where i should be getting many.
the only result i’m getting is the one ACTUALLY in TLV. i’m not getting ANY results from results within radius.
thanks.February 16, 2017 at 11:58 am in reply to: payment redirects me to paypal in fireign language #361991the ideal solution would be the language of the payer account, but if that’s not possible – english it is 🙂
thanks!February 16, 2017 at 7:50 am in reply to: payment redirects me to paypal in fireign language #361938oh i see what you mean. i think “[email protected]” is Hebrew speaking, not dutch. but anyway it’s strange that it would take the payer to an account in a language of the reciever…
let’s wait for Stiofan 🙂

February 15, 2017 at 10:03 pm in reply to: payment redirects me to paypal in fireign language #361874i’m not sure. it’s on 4 dfferent computers with 4 different non dutch speaking paypal accounts… i’m sure if you yourself tried it, it would be the same.
maybe something to do with location switcher not appearing anywhere on the site?February 15, 2017 at 7:59 pm in reply to: payment redirects me to paypal in fireign language #361837This reply has been marked as private.thanks! looks like it’s good now. i’ll check more when i get home and update! 🙂
