I originally used dummy data then removed it. Could that be the problem with ‘places/organizations’ thinking that there is a post?

I don’t seem to be able to figure out the css class to hide the invoice link in the dashboard. Can you help?

Yes, I can submit without an end date but it defaults to 24 hours duration when I do that. Perhaps if we could default the end date to 30 days from now, it would create an adequate work around.

I created a job offer and used the business linking.
    Issues:
    – the listing title and listing description fields are filled with the business equivalent. These field should be left cleared since this is where the job title and job description should go. Any ways to achieve that?
    – The job listing does show in a business listing tab (super cool) but there is no tab to the business listing in the job offer, just a link. Any way to have a tab with the business card like the other way around?
    – I said I was not the business owner and was able to post a job linked to a business. Any way to restrict job postings to listings owners? I’m not sure whether that’s critical but it could potentially constitute a liability problem.

There is ‘how to register’ field that popped out. Is that mandatory? I had an application procedure custom field that you would irrelevant if this is always on.

Post trash doesn’t normally show unless there is something in it (just double-checked by deleting a custom and then restoring).

To make double sure, I used the trash link (…/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=trash&post_type=gd_place) for ‘organizations’ and it showed nothing. I’m not sure what is keeping the post type active in the search dropdown.

I am trying to give our paid members extra benefits (example: the modified featured). The admin should be the only person controlling upgrades beyond free. Once the upgrade is enabled, members would enjoy full control of the listing and special fields at the new level. Does that clarify my goals?

Putting the .mo where it belongs do make a big difference 😉

Can you point the way to hide time references everywhere?

Also, places/organizations show in the search drop down although I do not and do not want to use that type of post. I remember something about hidden posts in the trash. I can’t see any. Can you help?

One more question… I would need to eliminate any reference to ‘time’ as it is irrelevant to job applications duration.

For example, I changed ‘event start date’ to ‘job application opening date’ in the language file and I still see ‘event start date’.

Also, how do you control the search widget? Add listing show the proper list of ‘enable post types’ but not the search widget. It shows the out-of-box types only.

I will have ‘job’ tab inside the listing. Oh, that’s going to be perfect 🙂

How about cross-linking between an headquarter listing and regional branches listings? Any tricks to achieve that other-than a custom field for a link to ‘related business’ to manually fill.

Featured will work great to display accreditation, I think. ‘Best of’ limitation won’t be convenient on the front page but I can live with that. I’m also sold on multiple custom types for maximum flexibility of entry format.

I have another, not specific to CPT, question. For global businesses with locations across the globe, is there an easy way to cross-link them as do that they have to be standalone listings?

Do you an example of business listing / event cross-linking somewhere? I’d like to see the level of user friendliness out of the box. Thanks.

No I don’t want to give users access to the modified ‘featured’ option because they have to meet some criteria to receive the accreditation. So admin has to have sole control over that.

One more question on ‘featured’. Will I be able to enable a ‘best of featured’ widget that includes listings from all post types? It seems to be restricted to displaying ‘featured’ within a specific post type.

No problems. I prefer right the first time…

I forgot. Does ‘featured’ work across all types of post automatically or does it have to be created for CPT? I need the same ‘high visibility ID’ across all types of post.
