Thanks Gusst – I’m trying to get this to work. I don’t want users to see a “Listings” link as the majority of my users won’t have listings, I’ll be posting them all. But I want them to have a Favorites link. But when I remove the post type from the Buddy Press Geo Directory settings it also removes the Favorites link. Any idea on how to fix this?
Thanks,
Jack
Thanks Guust – I think the answer is this:
http://yoursite/author/username/?geodir_dashbord=true&stype=gd_place
but I’ve noticed that this isn’t true. I found a way to create the link dynamically with the username in the title – but it doesn’t work. So this link should work – but it doesn’t.

I wouldn’t mind Buddy Press because I like the idea of having users see friends favorite places, but I also don’t want a full-blown social network. I’m afraid they would get overwhelmed with the features and would stop using it.
Thanks,
JAck
Thanks that helped a lot. I also noticed that the count is wrong. The title says “One review on “Strong’s Brick Oven Pizzeria – Newport””
We have 2 reviews and one reply to one of them, so I would expect it to say “Two reviews on “NAME””
Thoughts?
Hey Paolo – thanks for the fast response. My options were set up that way, and I have tried in Incognito mode in Chrome – still getting it. See screenshot.
Thanks,
Jack
This reply has been marked as private. That helped it a little – thanks! Can you take a look now? I still think there is a huge margin or spacing somewhere that could help tidy it all up and make it look cleaner.
Thanks,
Jack

That fixed it. Thanks!
This reply has been marked as private.Hi there – is there a way to add the maps widget to a separate page? I wouldn’t mind trying to add it to a page for mobile that is 100vh so it gives them a map of everywhere around them.
Thanks!
Thanks! I haven’t edited the CSS recently but I’m just now coming back to this project after a year off. I did have this in the custom CSS portion under designs:
.geodir-breadcrumb ul {visibility: hidden;} .geodir-removetofav-icon i {color: green; text-shadow: none; font-size: 1.5em;} .geodir-addtofav-icon i {text-shadow: none; font-size: 1.5em; color: red;} .geodir-sidebar-wrap .widget .widget-title{border-bottom: none;} #geodir_slider {padding: 10px;} .single-gd_place .geodir-sidebar-wrap { margin: 15px 0 0; }
When I put your new code in there it fixed the text version – but the page title, view all, and the favorite/ratings portion are still all touching the sides. Anything I can add to this to fix those?
But when you click “Share” those are options to select – Facebook and Twitter… I like the Facebook/Twitter being called out separately but think it may make sense for that to be the social box and the “Share” icon be included next to Facebook and Twitter.
Thanks that looks a lot better now. Still would like some sort of title but can look into editing the code directly.
Also regarding that side bar. Should the Share button be with the Facebook/Twitter ones? I feel like they have the same functionality so it should be one or the other… thoughts?
Yes sir – thanks for the help!
