The theme already had
#header{
margin: 0 auto;
}in the Quick Code CSS box. I tried entering your code after the quoted code as well as writing over the quoted code and neither worked unfortunately.
I apologize for being a nuisance, just need help on the CSS now. The attached image shows what I am trying to do with the red arrows. I just want to reduce that space between the first widget and my header. I have downloaded Custom CSS Manager and just want to make this one minor adjustment, not a major overhaul. Am I going to be able to to just add the coding for this one specific segment with CSS Manager or Quick Code under Whoop Options? Or will it require me to change style.css with the editor? If you can give me a pointer on where this would be located in the code so i can change it it’d be appreciated, but if I needed I can post in jobs. With my lack of experience I don’t know if this would be a labor intensive job or just some quick change I can make.
Also, how can I get images to appear in blog posts?
I’ve got the theme to update. Few more questions that I think revolve around CSS, which I also have no experience with.
1) How can I reduce the space between the header and my first widget on the page?
2) Are bulleted lists disabled? I’ve tried html code for lists but the bullets don’t appear, wondering if there is anywhere I can adjust this.
If these are questions I should be asking in the wordpress forum please let me know, I figured they were theme specific.
Thanks in advance, you guys are awesome!
That sounds like it is correct Giri. As I have stated previously, I’m very limited in my knowledge so updating to the new whoop has been a hassle. For some reason I cannot get my FTP to retrieve directory listings so i can’t update whoop manually. Is there a timeline of when Whoop! will move outta Beta and an official version will be released?
Thanks fellas, I got all of that working. Now, hopefully my last question for a while. When I added new dummy data to places it has caused the ‘Your Next Review Awaits’widget to malfunction. It loads w/o a place and I have to click the scroll right button twice to get the first place to appear. Looked through the forum for a similar problem and didn’t see anything…
Ok great, thanks again. All of that worked except for when I try to add lists. I installed the plugin, reset permalinks, but there is not a ‘lists’ page that appears in my settings when I follow next step. Is there something im missing? I am using all three of the required plugins at this moment. Thanks in advance.
also, how do I get the “whoop! review of the day’ widget to work? I have multiple comments entered but it’s not filling. Do I have to select a comment specifically?
Thanks for all the assistance Guust. Is it okay for me to just keep using this thread to ask questions? I will have quite a few more and don’t want to flood the forum.
-I am trying to re create the “talks” and “lists” page on the whoop demo and cannot figure out how it was done. I’ve gone into sandbox and tried to view the widget set up and also gone into pages to see it but it is not there.
– How do I make the ‘change location’ button appear that is in the header menu? it has “country, region, city” in a little drop down when you hover it.
Okay great. No pages were loading previously to add to the menu but now I can add them so I got that completed. But do you know why the black wordpress bar would not appear at the top? the one that allows you to edit the page or go back to dashboard? and where am I able to use the drag and drop feature for widgets?
I tried that link initially and it just would take me back to the homepage, but after checking the options and adding in event the page now loads, thank you again!
meant to post it in the support forum, my bad.
