Thanks Alex, I look forward to the update. I don’t know what you mean by “try updating the GD Post Images shortcode”. I don’t mind waiting for the update, but I think it would be cool to know what you mean here because I need to get use to using the shortcode. 🙂

Oh, when he said that I didn’t know what he was talking about “no page 1 were not working for me”? I didn’t know what that means. I guess he couldn’t find the login page?

The site has a login link in the navigation and when I go to https://veganlinked.com/wp-admin it redirects to https://veganlinked.com/login/ so hopefully one of those should work.

Reading back at my response I remember also thinking he wanted me to test my site to see if there was any other changes, on top of not knowing what “no page 1 were not working for me” meant. My bad, I was probably in a rush and on little sleep, lol.

Here’s a demonstration of how renewal isn’t going away for an unclaimed listings (whereas above it was a claimed listing).

This video also shows how I have to enter the discount code every time there’s an update. This makes me wonder if this would also be the case for paid listings. I think this may also make the feature “Use Once Per User” not effective.

One of the issues that came up during this was related to ratings not showing on the archive page. For example, on https://veganlinked.com/food/ the featured listings have ratings but after updating the listings they no longer show ratings on the archive page. The listing does have ratings though: https://veganlinked.com/food/united-states/north-carolina/horse-shoe/garlik-vegan/

It’s hard for me to really understand what all this means. I guess my imagination is getting in the way and not seeing visually what is being explained in the documentation.

I totally understand that, as always, a package may be featured and this affords a featured listing the advantage of being shown first in the listings page and exclusively in featured areas. It use to be controlled from the package settings. Am I correct in saying it’s now controlled from this custom field? If so, that’s where I was initially misunderstanding it. When I first saw this custom field I didn’t know featured wasn’t in the package anymore.

So, am I correct in saying; to make a package featured I have to add the custom field and select the packages under “Show only on these price packages” in that featured custom field? Now, on the premise of that being correct, let’s talk about “Is Active” and “Default Value”.

If “Is Active” is not checked will that to disable featured packages from being featured? Or does that just control whether it’s showing on the add listing page?

If “Default Value” is set for “Unchecked” is this going to essentially turn off featured package from being featured? Does this have to be set to check? What does this mean?

A video showing all this and how it works on the front end would be very helpful since it’s so different than V1. In fact, everything that’s different about V1 and V2 would ideally have a video…

That’s unfortunate. That thumbnail looks horrible. Wait, can GD customize this so it’s better, because what I’m suggesting would definitely make it better. I imagine anyone using GD for the first significant amount of time would have to add a lot of listings to get the site going. I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking the image looks bad on every listing it is on.
