Lol, I suppose. I don’t know if there’s anything you guys can or want to do about this. I guess only time will tell if other images do this from other phones, which is probably the most popular way people take photos now…
alrighty, after opening them in photoshop and saving them, then uploading them to the listing they’re showing correctly now. Something about iphone 4 images seem to show correct everywhere but here and gd.
I just opened it in photoshop and it’s portrait. So, it’s correctly portrait in facebook, photoshop, and my pc. But, it is not on here or GD…
So, these images are correctly in portrait on my computer but not on geodirectory or here. so, I just uploaded them to facebook and they’re correctly portrait there. So, locally and on facebook is correct. GD and here they’re not…
Ah, so, they’re landscape on here too! My PC must magically be rotating them correctly.
I just tried it with another image from a different source. This other portrait image didn’t rotate into landscape. So, now I’m like WHAT?
For some reason the rotated image from the listing fixed itself when I downloaded it by automagically rotating back to portrait, lol? which I’ve never seen this happen before. But, when I uploaded it back to a different listing it rotated back to landscape.
There must be something else going on here. Maybe, this is a reach, but maybe there is meta data that my computer is using to rotate the image automatically and that information isn’t being interpreted by geodirectory?
I attached the portrait images that are rotating into landscape. They were shot with iphone 4.
Alex, sorry, forgot I shortened the url for them… https://veganlinked.com/web/joannfarb
Guust, no, like I was saying, I downloaded it and the image was not in landscape, it was in portrait. AND I uploaded the portrait image to a different listing and it showed it in landscape which I showed in the last image i posted.
This reply has been marked as private.I uploaded the portrait photo to another listing to check and it uploaded incorrectly as well.
Thanks, and that’s definitely the right answer 🙂
So, if I do a state directory of things to do does “Region” work well as “County” in that all the cities in that “region/county” will be appropriately assigned? So, if someone searches a Region/County they’ll see everything in every city of that county? I’m assuming yes, just making sure…
sorry, this should have been in V2 forum part… rrr… its the last part of the setup wizard which is only available in v2…
k, sorry about that. 🙂
and ideally those links would open in a new tab or window instead of pulling you away from the setup wizard…
and i joined the newsletter and after that it went to a page not found… 🙁
I went to editor and there is not a “details” template. It seems like GD would have a fix and update for this, not send us on a wild goose chase… lol where is this details template? I want to use the plugins, not fix them…
