Thanks, I was having some quirky things going on, it may have been that Godaddy Cache crap though or my needing to clear my history, so it made me curious… all is good, i’m really looking forward to migrating over to a cloud VPS with JaguarPC per your request. They seem awesome and they claim not to use cache. After I migrate over do you think I should hold off on using GD Booster for a bit until I’ve Populated the site some more? Do you use that? Is it pretty nice and good to use? And, I’m even more curious how much faster my site will be after this migration and how consistent it will be faster. Let me know your thoughts, I’m super excited and looking forward to taking this to the next level!
This reply has been marked as private.weird, I’m not seeing them there. see attached image, it’s showing only the first image of which is the featured image. And, if you go to the most recent listing related to that image you’ll see there’s about 14 more images that are not in the WP media library as far as I can tell. Man, MY SITE IS HORRIBLE RIGHT NOW!!!! It’s DRAGGGGGGGIIIINNNNGGGGG ON Godaddy!
I’ve already paid JaguarPC and waiting for them to Migrate it. Godaddy is HORRIFIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve cleared cache, it happened this morning a few times, now later this evening it’s happening doing different things, it’s just a freaking nightmare! Fortunately I haven’t promoted the site yet. I ordered business cards that should be here by Wednesday and have a big event I’m attending and intending to promote my new site at some. I really hope this migration to a cloud VPS with JaguarPC works!
Man, just got off the phone with JaguarPC and they sound GREAT so far. Thanks!
Is this a godaddy issue? I was just in the process of adding a listing and when I clicked “Review Your Listing” at the bottom of the listing page it hung up, then went to this a page that said “Inactivity Timeout Description: Too much time has passed without sending any data for document.”
Then after some time I navigated away and went to the back end, it took forever to load. The listing was nowhere to be found.
I tried again. This time when I selected “Review Your Listing” at the bottom of the add listing page it went straight to the home page instead of the preview page. Then I went to the backend and the listing was there unpublished.
Then I went the home page to see the listing and I got another “Inactivity Timeout Description: Too much time has passed without sending any data for document.” page. It seems to be fine now, but this is crazy!
I know you guys are like, no on godaddy. And, I’m like I know, i know… I plan on getting away. They offered me a Dedicated hosting plan. Should I go for that? or should I try https://www.jaguarpc.com/cloud-vps-hosting/ or Cloudwavs?
Sometimes this site drags too, not sure this is even hosted well, maybe I shouldn’t be asking here…lol But, really, you guys should really know where your products will shine and encourage customers to use where your products will shine, after all, you want happy customers, right? I need best hosting!!!
I’ll dig into JaguarPC some more…
Nevermind, I figured it out! Under invoicing I created a “Free” option. Although I’m not seeing “claim listing” anywhere… https://veganlinked.com/food/united-states/north-carolina/charlotte/ma-ma-wok/

I would absolutely pay someone to make this happen for my site. If someone is capable of accomplishing this please let me know right away. Or, if this is already in the works please let me know right away.
FOR CLARIFICATION:
I would like it so that a UsersWP or just a GD user or a GD user as a CPT “listing” can create a
listing for a business in a different CPTThen when that business claims the listing they are forced to upgrade it.
Then the affiliate that created the listing gets residual Commission from that subscription.
The affiliate code could be something the affiliate promotes on their listing, business cards or other marketing collateral. So, the business could create the listing from scratch independent of the affiliate and just enter the affiliate’s code.
Ideally this would be a GD plugin independent of a third party. The affiliate would just need to enter their paypal email and have an affiliate code generated. Affiliates would be paid right when the subscription payment is made.
In the backend I, as admin, would set the commission amount, be able to manually add or correct an affiliate code, and maybe even see a report of what’s going on.
(optional) If an affiliate started a listing then the listing for the business is associated with that affiliate code which would just automatically be there making it a seamless process for the affiliate and The Business (This isn’t necessary though, the affiliate could just enter their code manually as the business would do).
(optional) There could even be some sort of option where the affiliate offers a free month if the business uses their code. This would give the business incentive to use the affiliate code.
The ability for affiliates to receive residual commission from subscriptions would inspire people all around the world top use the site because it would employ them! This would in turn exponentially populate the site making this GD project a successful one.
Of course, this could tie nicely into UsersWP where a UsersWP/Affiliate’s listings can be displayed (already a feature I think), the user/affiliate can also “blog” through the front end to do more and add value to the site (something I’ve been told is in the works), and their affiliate code can be displayed.
For some reason my last post here will not post. I tried to post it somewhere else and it will not post.
Awesome, the pressing issue that really is inhibiting me from moving forward is the affiliates bit I spoke of. I mentioned it here because I was thinking about it here due to it being similar because it depends on a third-party plug-in like this. I am assuming that this not something that can be accomplished with short codes. Is there some way someone can build this into geodirectory and users so users can get residual Commission from subscriptions they start? I really want this!!! 🙂
Also I noticed somewhere that users profiles show how many gd listings and I guess this is how many they’ve created. This is really awesome potentially for my website. And it really made me think about something even greater.
If a user creates a listing for a business, and then that business claims the listing and is forced to upgrade it would be great for the user to get residual Commission from that subscription. This would inspire people to become users all over the world because it would employ them!
I really want affiliates to get residual Commission off of subscription payments. If a user started a listing then the listing is associated with a user and they’re affiliate code or just automatically be there making it a seamless process for the affiliate and The Business.
I would absolutely pay someone to make this happen for my site. If someone is capable of accomplishing this please let me know.
So if someone comes to my site and they want to become a user that sells products would they be able to join and add products through my site or would they be forced to set up their products through woocommerce?
And will there be short code or some way to feature popular products or highly viewed ones say on the homepage? Or for a user to pay to have a product featured? Or for me to feature a user’s products somehow?
Are there examples anywhere?
What are the products tab for?
What I really imagine being fantastic is a way for users to add their own products, like Etsy.com. Just like a business adds a listing, only a person would add their items they sell. This would really get people excited about being a part of a directory like I’m building. It’s not necessary, but would be super sweet. I wonder if WooCommerce integrates that well..
Thanks, all kinds of typos in there, i was typing in a rush.
