Am I going about this wrong? Here’s a one minute video explaining what I’m trying to do. I also mention a another issue, the gap, and how if I’m able to customize the pages using shortcodes then I may be able to remove the gap. But, this is more about the question:
How do I customize the “Location” page and the “Category” pages (also known sometimes as “Listing Pages” and “Archive Pages”)?
It will not be necessary the day you finally fix the problem. Until then, ignoring the problem for days really makes it hard to move forward… rendering me with no other option but to try something else. The original post was not entirely about the gap issue. So, I thought since it kept getting ignored/overlooked I would try a new post for it. Simple solve the problem more promptly or at least “respond to it” and then prevent/remove these “double posts”

It’s every page, so I need it to cover every page. The only page that isn’t doing it now is the new homepage I just setup with the Divi Builder using the “fullwidth” module. Other than that, it literally is every page and post.
Sorry, after asking multiple times in the original post and never getting a response to it I thought I should try somewhere else.
I am trying to create a custom “location” page. I tried using the shortcode for homepage map and listings page map. Neither work. I’ve put it inside the extra theme (divi module) “fullwidth” and “standard section” code and text modules. Neither work. Am I going about this wrong?
This reply has been marked as private. Why would they not resolve this by making it more effective? I mean, don’t they have total control over it? You see that the “near me” doesn’t work the first time and then does the second time, right? that’ is called GLITCHY. And, the fact that there isn’t a way to intuitively clear out a location, that is also glitchy.
Thus far, these are the two biggest issues I have with this. I had these issues a couple of years ago. I WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THESE ISSUES. And, as you said “some members…” well, apparently you also know that others are having to create a work around. Are these plugins at a dead end????
awesome, thanks: please help me remove the awful Gap that is at the top of every page on my website: https://youtu.be/dYkQvbfNGWM
This reply has been marked as private.Ok, nevermind, that didn’t work either. After I “published” it the gap came back. 🙁
I tried resolving this by changing the height of the navigation bar. I should be able to adjust the height of the navigation bar without it being a problem/creating an unwanted gap.
For the record, this only happens with GD plugins. I use this same theme on all my other sites without problems…
This reply has been marked as private.I keep wanting to go back to simple, just have one CPT for restaurants, sanctuaries, bed and breakfast, doctors, etc… not breaking restaurants up into chinese, mexican, american, etc… so, the big question is, do you think TAG’s may suffice for qualifying a type of restaurant?
