Ok, I’ll try that. I haven’t added any styling yet. I haven’t done that in a while and need a refresher on it really. First, I’m trying to get all the functionality and structure of the site setup and then I need to figure out if I am going to use a theme builder or a GD Theme like the one I’m using.
The one I’m using by GD uses a child theme and I’m sort of confused as to whether I should edit that directly or add a style sheet or what. Because, what if you change the child theme. That’s basically where I’m at.
I’m pretty happy with where it’s at right now functionality wise for the most part. So, styling would be nice to get into next on it. It desperately needs styling now.
Someone suggested code snippet I think. But, I haven’t figured out what that is exactly yet. I’ll probably just go with DIVI though so I may not need to… What do you think?
I made a video of it happening for you to see:
Awesome, thanks! I see the arrow now. I think because the other buttons on the mobile view navigation are links and the location switcher looks like a link I was treating it like a link. I think the arrow may be hard to notice on a phone. Ideally the location switcher in mobile view would not appear as a link. And maybe even the arrow would be more vivid. I shared this in another post https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/location-switcher-mobile-view/
Someone else showed me on their phone a couple of days ago that they couldn’t get the switcher to do anything. I must have just saw what they saw and neither of us noticed the arrow…
Thanks again! Everything seems solid now, esp. if you guys can do those two suggestions: make arrow more vivid and change “Change Location” so it doesn’t appear as a link. 🙂
Cool, and I just learned a lot more about how the plugins work related to this. I did this video regarding what I learned as well. I’m not using supreme theme. And, everything is working great all in all. This video is just me clearing up a different post on here, but it’s sort of related so I thought I share in case you would like to see from my perspective/application: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlSzolZWdoo&feature=youtu.be
Google Chrome
I FIGURED IT OUT! USER ERROR!!! I have it set so the homepage isn’t showing listings without an image. I’m sooooo sorry, i forgot about that…
But, I’m still not sure why the homepage/location page is showing two cities when you say it shows the city closest to me. It must be show the region closest, not the city. I’m going to see if I can figure out if that’s the case…
Thanks, and sorry about that!
I understand, thank you for explaining! However, 1.) the location page/home page is showing the motorcycle listing which is in the city Asheville and other listings that are in the city Shelby. Then 2.) the search pages is showing the CRV which is in Shelby which should also be on the home page.
I’m not sure what you mean about about clicking anywhere…

When I tried it was from the front end.
I just tried on a new listing and it’s still doing it.
Location switcher isn’t showing in the mobile view:
How do I make it show on the front end? Like in the search page as a sorting option?
Awesome, that worked, thanks! 🙂
Here’s a video showing how the near me in the Supreme demo is quirky: https://youtu.be/zIh5M5A_qsg
