Thanks Stiofan:
The last bit of code seems to solve the issue. The file you sent doesn’t contain this fix, but does have several other changes. Just making sure you’re aware.
Thanks for looking at it Stiofan.
If you can email me the code, that might be best. I can’t reproduce it on my own site/server so I would need to do it on the client site directly.
Can I get an update on this bug? My client is still having issues. I can share site details if you need.
Thanks Stiofan, that seems to have done the trick for that part.
With debug on, posting still throws these errors:
Undefined variable: prev_package_id in plugins/geodir_payment_manager/geodir_payment_actions.php on line 1554Undefined variable: prev_expire_date in plugins/geodir_payment_manager/geodir_payment_actions.php on line 1555
FYI.
Thanks Stiofan.
This plugin already adds a few custom fields so I’ve got that part down. A comma separated list of “breeds” isn’t going to be of much use here.
I consider this a bit of a bug in GeoDirectory – if any developer or plugin wants to add new taxonomies they can’t without making it a custom field.
Although it does appear that if the word ‘tag’ is in taxonomy name it’ll by-pass the problem code. Not ideal.
There’s a forum “feature” that creates the link without any text. Only the title and it’s not intuitive. If you view the source on my post, the link is there, you just can’t see it!
I did. It was in there after the ENJOY.
I see – it’s a list of related posts basically.
I assume you don’t want to put that in the body of the listing because users can change/remove it?
I’m trying to think of another way to accomplish this. Running every custom field through the shortcode process would add a lot of load to a site.
If you use a custom field of type URL, you can put a link in there.
Perhaps I’m still missing something. For example, what shortcode do you want to put in there? Which plugin or theme is giving you that shortcode?
The easiest would be to use a tool like BackupBuddy or the free plugin Duplicator (in the WordPress.org repo) to fully duplicate your existing site, then tweak the new one.
Are you making a duplicate or just moving to a new domain?
It is possible, but would require a bit of work in the core plugin and may cause issues.
Can you explain what you’re looking to do (beyond the obvious)? What shortcodes, why etc?
I’d love to have a look but I can’t. The page requires an account and you’ve disabled new registration.
The site dumps a HUGE block of CSS out when it first loads. I wonder if that’s related.
As per my 2nd post (in the backend) but it also happens in the front:
To elaborate, obviously I’ve got debug mode on – since this is my dev site.
Simply create a new place or event and give it a title. As soon as you click outside the title box, this error occurs above trying to determine the permalink (probably).

The listings aren’t disappearing, your site is doing a redirect to Buffalo Point, Man. after a few seconds on the home page.
Not familiar with what does that. Is it your default city by chance?
