See above – I was editing my last post while you were replying. 😉
PS. I need to differentiate between the Claim Listing and Review link in the tab. Currently the review link in the tab reads as:
You must be logged in to post a comment.
I’ve gone into poedit and have edited the language file (https://ayecode.b-cdn.net/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/languages/geodirectory-en_US.po) and compiled a new .mo file and replaced the file on the server.
I modified:
You must be <a href="%s">logged in</a> to post a comment.
to:
You must be <a href="“%s/?review#respond”">logged in</a> to post a review.
I also need to append the ?review to the “Write a Review” button…
But things aren’t changing. The only way I can find to accomplish what I’m trying to do is by manually editing /wp-content/themes/GeoDirectory_whoop/reviews.php
Thoughts???
Thanks,
JohnPS. Short of manually editing the files I have everything working well. Check it out… 😉

We ended up rolling back to 5.6 due to some other plugin support (IonCube, etc) issues but otherwise things ran great with 7.
See image.
Great. I think it’d be a positive change that would be helpful to everyone using the plugin – we all want/need more interactivity… Then an option of linking the reviews with social/fb and posting them to the sites profile upon review or posting would be cool too. 😉
Giri, any updates on this?

November 29, 2015 at 1:27 am in reply to: Business Owner? / Claim listing link (What am I doing wrong?) #61864It’d sure be less confusing if after creating an account they were referred back to the page that preceded the account creation process.
I’m thinking it might be wise to fork the claim listing process to:
If user is logged in – allow claim
elseif user is not logged in:
– Sign in and claim
Automatically bring up claim form after logging in
– Create account and claim
Bring up combined account creation with listing claim formGoal – make it as streamlined and easy to claim a listing as possible.
I know, feature request right?
Hi Guust, Happy American Thanksgiving and Black Friday! Where we all go broke. 😉
Yes, using Whoop.
In a perfect world I’d rather reviews be posted only from verified accounts to keep review/competitor spam to a minimum. I’ve had a lot of problems in the past with competing businesses maliciously slamming others. Requiring email validation cut that to a minimum – and also provided owners with data in the event they wanted to take a legal route against the offending party.
Thanks again… Look forward to hearing from Giri. :0
Looks like I wrote this and didn’t post it. Not sure if it’s worthwhile but I’ll put it out there.
Quick question… What about using a filter and replace for this? I do want to continue to append the state/province/region to these – but I’d prefer to use the 2 digit abbreviations for US states.
What about using an array and filter?
So:
Whatever in City, State United Stateswould be replaced with
Whatever in City ST
(CPT|TAG|CATEGORY) in City (abbreviated state)I’d do it but I don’t know how to write the code. Looking at auto-suggest for my niche, using subject in city st is the most common way of searching. So if I want to hit with an exact match this is what I’d have to do.
Code might also be useful to others.
Awesome… So glad you were able to replicate it. I break a lot of things – but didn’t think I broke this one. 😉
Bingo. That solved it Paolo…
I’m linking to their Facebook, Twitter and Yelp pages if I have the URL’s. You’ll see them in my sidebar.
Perhaps these are somehow being picked up – but only the FB link is erroring?
I don’t recall changing anything which would effect this. And the extra code is living between things that i don’t believe I modified.
Further when I remove the tweet_button line from the following code, the extra –> is gone…
<div class=”whoop-dd-menu whoop-sharing-buttons”>
<div class=”likethis”>
<?php geodir_twitter_tweet_button(); ?>
<?php geodir_fb_like_button(); ?>
<?php geodir_google_plus_button(); ?>
</div>
</div>Digging further, when I remove the following line from /wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/custom_functions.php, the extra characters disappear. Weird??
