Thanks so much for this!
I keep getting:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/wp_jzgjmt/[site]/wp-content/themes/GDF_child/functions.php on line 31
when i drop it in. :-/
thanks for the link! ill check it out!
I’m browsing around geodirectory_template_actions.php and cant seem to find the hook referring to the “Business Owner?” radial buttons, let alone how to set it to NO by default… It’s all very cryptic and without documentation its difficult to make the changes to any of these hooks. Any chance you can get a little more specific? 😀
…just got a report of Auburn Washington USA changing to Auburn Alabama USA… This is becoming a big problem.
Okay, it actually looks like this was a custom module i am having the issue with. Thanks!
As a side question, is it possible to hide the “Business Owner?” radial buttons and have it default to no when adding any kind of listing? I want all of my users to have to use the same method of claiming a listing in order to become a verified owner so that our admins can have a little bit less of a load.

I have another issue with the addresses. A user showed me that when hitting the button to send it to the map without the city put in it approximates the listing incorrectly and changes the address field.
Thats fine. I will let you know if it happens again.
Okay, so I set the settings to draft so I can catch spam, however when I create a test listing it still publishes to my site automatically…
I’m sorry, but i honestly don’t even see a point to the authors page. I tried clicking on an author link and it just redirects to a page that can’t really carry any content…
Is it possible to remove links to authors pages until there is an update for Geodirectory that will give it some use??
Only the user. They emailed me this snapshot with the explanation that they just logged in and tried to submit a review.
It was explained to me by the user that all they did was log in, attempt to submit a review with a rating, and click submit. it then threw up this error.
The second post was from submitting a comment as a guest, but I have since disabled it on my site.
Yeah, anybody with simple scripting knowledge could easily exploit or cripple a geodirectory webpage like this. I understand it is good for ease of use, but if the page’s content is quality, users won’t be too bothered by having to verify their account via email.
