I am using the Ignition Deck crowdfunding plug-in so it manages the “projects” post type. I think I just might try and customize the archive template it uses to mimic the gd listing page as all the other CPT are going to be GD.

I wonder – just for my info – how these custom post types are managed? Where is it defined as to who “owns” the type – so that only the gd created types get a entry in the gd preference dashboard?

Yes Guust that is the basic idea, but as it develops I would like to see it more automated – for instance.

I have a haunted house movie. I make a list of all the locations for the movie. A house. A cemetery. A portal to hell. Each of these locations are like a place post, with tags such as “old house”, “Victorian” “creepy”.

They would go to a SCOUT locations page and select the movie location from a drop down of all the locations in a movie – and that page would be populated with real places locally that have matching tags. The ones the user likes gets “attached” to that location – eventually the ones selected becomes “cast” in the role.

Actors work the same way – “character descriptions” define the search parameters of the database in a “Casting Call” – choices narrowed down until a actor is chosen for role.

This is really just part of the system – when people, places and things are “attached to the project” a BUDGET gets created and that budget is used directly in the financing / production process.

Thank you so much – I know if I can get both these plugins to work together (directory plus funding) this site will be a hit. I plan on adding custom posts and buddypress down the line.

I commented out these 2 sections (1st one fixed the list but broke the google map – the 2nd restored both.

I am not sure what it might have broken elsewhere in backer – but I suppose its a start.
Let me know if you all think there is a more elegant solution.

I wonder why the tabs don’t work on the detail page?

That is a great plug-in! But take a look at the screenshot. It does not look like the tabs are working. I did not modify anything. A script conflict?
