Hi Stiofan,

I finally decided to deactivate Autoptimize because it was conflicting with every new plugin and I do not have the technical skills to try to finetune its settings to overcome these conflicts. Unfortunately, after deactivating it, the site speed degradation was quite noticeable.

Then I found recommendations about Cloudfare CDN which I felt it was not difficult at all to setup. I decided to give it a try and I noticed that the site speed improved again.

I would like to know your opinion about Cloudfare CDN and if you would recommend it.

I guess that Cloudfare + Autoptimize would be the best combination to improve the site speed, but by now I am not going to activate Autoptimize again, at least until I will be able to hire a developer to take care of technical issues. 🙂

Something went wrong with the site and many things did not work. I had to restore it from a backup.

I did not follow the guide, but this video, being the first doc referenced in the plugin info in the WP dashboard:

Now I followed the guide step by step and it worked.

However, I am a little uncertain about what Facebook Apps really are and how they work. My main doubt is if the same App ID and App Secret will work for other Facebook related plugins installed in the same website that require them or if I have to create a new App and get new App ID and App Secret for each Facebook plugin that I activate in the same website. Could you help?

Hi Stiofan,

I do not know if it has something to do with cache issues, but now I am unable to make GD shortcodes work as expected. It looks as they work correctly in a page created before activating the new cache plugins but they do not in pages created after.

For example, this shortcode:

[gd_listings layout=1 list_sort=”featured” character_count=100]

shows first the only featured place currently in use and then all the standard places from a to z, while I understand it should show only the only featured place.

I tried deleting cache as well as deactivating and reactivating the cache plugins, without success.

Please, feel free to move this comment to a new thread should the problem not be related to cache issues.
