The change of the ‘wp-content’ folder location was done via the wp-config file. Initially for facilitating assets served from cookie-less domain.
This is moot now as I use Cloudflare which, I believe, tags all assets served with their own ‘security’ cookie.
No rush on this too – I really appreciate your assistance!

its definitely theme related…tried another WP default theme – 2015 – and the Home Map appears on a page that isn’t set to the sites homepage.
May I ask…
I’d like to use a static page for the site home page,and have GD pointing to the ‘coach page’ which would be a menu item page.
Is it possible to have the map at the top of a page that isnt the site home page?
